Job Summary

The Technology Architect will design and optimize enterprise grade SAP solutions that integrate generative AI capabilities with complex ABAP based components in a hybrid work model. The role focuses on driving robust SAP technical upgrades enhancing system performance and ensuring resilient architecture for web services and WebDynpro applications while aligning with clinical informatics and regulatory compliance needs supporting business outcomes through scalable and secure technology founda


Responsibilities

  • Architect end to end SAP solutions that combine core ABAP components with advanced generative AI capabilities to deliver scalable business platforms that support strategic enterprise objectives and long term technology roadmaps.
  • Design and refine SAP technical upgrade strategies that minimize disruption optimize system performance and ensure backward compatibility for critical ABAP artifacts across hybrid deployment environments.
  • Develop and govern patterns for ABAP AMDP implementations that enhance data intensive processing streamline complex business logic and improve overall system efficiency within integrated application landscapes.
  • Create and optimize ABAP web services that enable secure interoperable communication between SAP and external systems while maintaining robust performance and reliable data exchange standards.
  • Engineer and enhance WebDynpro for ABAP user interfaces that provide intuitive workflows increased usability and consistent user experiences aligned with business process requirements and accessibility expectations.
  • Plan and oversee core ABAP solution architecture including modular design guidelines code quality standards and performance optimization techniques that support maintainability and future extensibility.
  • Integrate generative AI based components into SAP processes to enable intelligent automation contextual insights and advanced decision support that contribute to better business outcomes and improved stakeholder experiences.
  • Collaborate with cross functional teams to translate complex domain requirements from clinical informatics and regulatory compliance into practical SAP and ABAP architectural designs that safeguard data integrity and adherence to standards.
  • Establish rigorous review mechanisms for technical design documentation solution blueprints and upgrade plans to reduce implementation risk and support consistent delivery quality in a hybrid work environment.
  • Guide troubleshooting and root cause analysis for high impact incidents within ABAP based and generative AI enabled solutions to restore services rapidly and prevent recurrence through structural improvements.
  • Coordinate with security and compliance stakeholders to embed privacy controls audit readiness and traceability into SAP architectures that operate within regulated contexts including clinical and regulatory domains.
  • Optimize integration approaches between SAP modules and external systems using ABAP web services and related technologies to support seamless data flow and reliable process orchestration without requiring travel.
  • Document architectural decisions patterns and reference solutions in clear English to support knowledge sharing onboarding and long term maintainability for day shift hybrid teams.


Qualifications

  • Demonstrate extensive hands on experience in core ABAP development including performance tuning modular design and complex enhancement frameworks gained over eight to twelve years of progressive practice.
  • Show proven expertise in planning and executing SAP technical upgrades including impact analysis retrofit strategies and cutover preparation for mission critical landscapes.
  • Apply deep knowledge of ABAP AMDP to design high performance data processing routines that leverage modern database features and align with enterprise reporting needs.
  • Utilize practical experience in ABAP web services to create secure reliable and standards based interfaces that connect SAP with diverse clinical and regulatory related systems.
  • Bring strong proficiency in WebDynpro for ABAP to deliver robust and maintainable user interfaces that support complex transactional workflows and high usability expectations.
  • Employ core skills in generative AI concepts and tools to design solution patterns where AI services augment SAP processes and enable smarter automation and decision support.
  • Leverage familiarity with clinical informatics and regulatory compliance domains to shape architectures that respect data sensitivity process traceability and regulatory expectations even when such experience is considered beneficial rather than mandatory.
  • Communicate fluently in English for reading and writing to produce precise design documentation review technical specifications and participate in remote collaboration across hybrid work arrangements.


Certifications Required

Preferred certifications include SAP Certified Development Associate ABAP and SAP Certified Technology Professional plus any recognized generative AI practitioner certification.
