Job Description:
Seeking a proactive engineer experienced in large multi team embedded projects. Must work independently across time zones adapt quickly and collaborate effectively. Responsibilities include feature development bug fixing requirements design and occasional leadership. Strong C or C++ Linux embedded async IPC scripting and willingness to learn new tech required.
Responsibilities
It is recommended that a new person joining the team has experience working in a similarly managed project of a similar scale.
Above all a significant amount of commitment is required which is necessitated by the project teams construction (different time zones) and remote work. Both factors do not allow people who manage teams to supervise team members constantly. For the same reasons a proactive approach is also essential for team members. A proactive approach to work must be combined with a willingness to understand and accept the limitations and decisions already made in the project. This in turn implies a willingness to cooperate with members of other teams. The project scale is not small and after four years of work it has already progressed to an advanced stage. The candidate will also be expected to be versatile including the ability to adjust to a different team (backend/applications) if necessary to provide support in another area of the project. The candidate will be required to adapt quickly to changes and complete planned tasks in the shortest possible time. Sometimes it may be necessary to take on a leadership role and direct the work of multiple team members when working on a feature. The candidate must cope in an environment where there are changes additional tasks and the need to make decisions based on unclear requirements.
Developing new features

Supervising work on features that require the cooperation of multiple teams
Strong C OR C++
Experience with embedded systems
Experience with Linux systems
Experience with GoogleTest Framework
Experience with asynchronous code
Experience with IPC communication
Scripting skills (Bash Python)
Knowledge of JavaScript/Typescript or willingness to learn
Knowledge of JavaScript/Typescript or willingness to learn
Knowledge of REST/MQTT/Sparkplug or willingness to learn
Experience with Node.js or willingness to learn
Understanding of DevOps issues
