About the role
We are looking for a hands-on Product Owner to own end-to-end asset movement capabilities, including ACH, wires, and internal transfers/journals. This role sits at the intersection of client experience, operations, risk/compliance, and technology and requires a deep understanding of how money moves through a regulated financial platform.
This is a build-and-run product role, not a backlog administrator.
Roles/Responsibilities:
- End-to-end asset movement workflows from initiation through validation, approvals, execution, exceptions, and reporting
- Core movement types such as ACG, wires, and journals, including cutoffs, limits, reversals/returns, and lifecycle states
- Product behavior across multiple personas (client, advisor, operations, compliance)
- Clear, detailed business requirements that engineering and operations can execute against
- A prioritized backlog aligned to risk, regulatory, operational impact, and client value.
Work model: Onsite
At Cognizant, we strive to provide flexibility wherever possible, and we are here to support a healthy work-life balance through our various well-being programs. Based on this role's business requirements, this is an onsite position requiring 3-4 days a week at our client’s office located at 240 Greenwich Street, New York, NY.
The working arrangements for this role are accurate as of the date of posting. This may change based on the project you're engaged in, as well as business and client requirements. Rest assured; we will always be clear about role expectations.
What you need to have to be considered
o Hands‑on experience with asset / money movement in a regulated financial environment (ACH, wires, internal transfers/journals)
o Background in Capital Markets, Wealth Management, Brokerage, or Banking
o Proven Product Owner or Senior Business Analyst experience owning end‑to‑end workflows (not just backlog or Scrum activities)
o Strong ability to write clear, detailed functional and business requirements, including validations, controls, and exception handling
o Build‑and‑run ownership mindset, accountable for delivery, production behavior, and outcomes with close collaboration across engineering, operations, risk, and compliance
We're excited to meet people who share our mission and can make an impact in a variety of ways. Don't hesitate to apply, even if you only meet the minimum requirements listed. Think about your transferable experiences and unique skills that make you stand out as someone who can bring new and exciting things to this role.
Applications will be accepted until 05/20/2026
