About the Role
Cognizant is seeking an experienced Oracle Cloud Payroll Lead to join our growing Oracle practice. This is a client-facing functional leadership role focused on delivering Oracle Cloud Payroll solutions for global organizations. The ideal candidate will bring strong Oracle Cloud Payroll implementation experience, lead business process transformation initiatives, and guide clients through the design, configuration, testing, and deployment of scalable payroll solutions.
As a trusted advisor, you will work closely with business stakeholders, project teams, and technical experts to translate complex business requirements into innovative Oracle Cloud Payroll solutions that drive operational efficiency, compliance, and business value.
In This Role You Will
- Lead Oracle Cloud Payroll implementation and transformation projects through all phases of the project lifecycle.
- Facilitate client workshops, requirements gathering sessions, and Fit-Gap assessments.
- Design and configure Oracle Cloud Payroll solutions aligned with client business objectives and regulatory requirements.
- Provide strategic guidance on payroll business processes and Oracle Cloud leading practices.
- Develop solution prototypes and present design options to stakeholders.
- Support data migration activities, including payroll conversion strategies, validation, and reconciliation.
- Design and support integrations between Oracle Cloud Payroll, ADP, banking systems, and other third-party applications.
- Develop and execute Payroll Parallel Testing strategies and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
- Collaborate with technical teams and offshore delivery resources to ensure successful project execution.
- Identify project risks, recommend mitigation strategies, and proactively address client concerns.
- Document solution designs, configuration decisions, business processes, and testing outcomes.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to clients by recommending Oracle Cloud features and industry best practices.
- Mentor junior team members and contribute to the growth of the Oracle Cloud practice.
- Support post-go-live stabilization activities and continuous improvement initiatives.
Work Model
Remote – United States, with milestone-based travel to Newark, NJ
What You Need to Have to Be Considered
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and related work experience.
- Minimum 5 years of payroll experience, including Oracle or PeopleSoft Payroll.
- Minimum 3 years of recent Oracle Cloud Payroll experience in a Functional Lead capacity.
- Experience leading at least one full lifecycle Oracle Cloud Payroll implementation.
- Strong expertise in Oracle Cloud Payroll configuration and business process design.
- Experience conducting requirements workshops, Fit-Gap analysis, and solution design sessions.
- Experience identifying RICEW objects and supporting solution architecture decisions.
- Strong understanding of payroll testing methodologies, including Payroll Parallel Testing.
- Experience supporting data migration, payroll conversion, and system integration activities.
- Strong stakeholder management, communication, and consulting skills.
- Ability to lead cross-functional and geographically distributed project teams.

- Oracle Cloud Payroll Certification.
- Certification in additional Oracle Cloud HCM modules.
- Experience leading multiple Oracle Cloud Payroll implementations.
- Experience integrating Oracle Cloud Payroll with ADP, banking platforms, and third-party payroll providers.
- Strong knowledge of payroll compliance, tax, and statutory requirements.
- Experience in large enterprise and global deployment environments.
- Knowledge of Oracle Cloud HCM modules beyond Payroll.
- Proven track record of delivering successful cloud transformation initiatives.
- Experience working within consulting organizations serving multiple clients and industries.

Salary and Other Compensation
The annual salary for this position is between $64,734 - $90,000, depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
