Job Description: Python Full-Stack Developer
Position Overview
We are seeking a Senior Python Developer to own end-to-end development and maintain scalable web applications across the full stack - from backend APIs and data layers to frontend interfaces and cloud deployment. This role requires strong ownership of technical decisions, the ability to mentor junior engineers and the judgment to balance pragmatic delivery with long-term maintainability.
Key Responsibilities
Core application development
- Design, build, and maintain RESTful APIs using Python frameworks (e.g., FastAPI, Django, Flask)
- Architect scalable, maintainable backend services and data models
- Write clean, well-tested, production-grade code and enforce code quality through reviews
- Optimize application performance, including query optimization and caching strategies.
- Design and optimize relational (PostgreSQL) data models
- Write efficient queries, manage migrations and ensure data integrity across services
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated testing and deployment
- Work with containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes) where applicable.
- Write and maintain unit, integration, and end-to-end tests (pytest, unittest or equivalent)
Cross-functional & delivery
- Communicate proactively with the client's technical and non-technical stakeholders on progress, risks, and design tradeoffs
- Participate in sprint/PI planning and translate high-level or ambiguous requirements into concrete technical designs and acceptance criteria
- Mentor junior developers on the team and review their code, particularly around AI-integration and validation logic
Required Qualifications & Skills
- 5-8+ years of professional software development experience, with strong depth in Python (3.x)
- Backend framework expertise -Django or FastAPI
- Database expertise - strong SQL skills, experience with at least one relational database ( PostGres)
- API design - REST Principles, authentication/authorization patterns (OAuth2, JWT)
- Cloud platform experience - hands-on with AWS, Azure, or GCP (compute, storage, managed databases)
- Version control & collaboration - Git, code review workflows or GitFlow branching strategies
- Testing discipline - strong track record of writing maintainable, meaningful test coverage
- CI/CD - experience building or maintaining pipelines
- Strong communication skills - able to explain technical tradeoffs to non-technical stakeholders and write clear documentation
- Problem-solving and debugging - comfortable diagnosing issues across the full stack, from frontend rendering to backend performance to infrastructure
Nice to Have
- AI/LLM familiarity - exposure to integrating LLM APIs into application workflows
- Prompt engineering - basic understanding of structuring prompts and structured/JSON output handling
- RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) - conceptual familiarity with embeddings, vector search, and grounding LLM outputs in retrieved data.
- Containerization & Orchestration - Docker, Kubernetes
- Microservices architecture experience.
