About the role
As a Product Management Consultant – Retail Store Systems & Labor Optimization, you will make an impact by leading the strategy and execution of client’s store scheduling and workforce management (WFM) platforms. You will be a valued member of the consulting team and work collaboratively with managers, primary teams, and other stakeholders and clients.

In this role, you will:

  • Define the multi-year product roadmap for retail scheduling systems, ensuring alignment with overall enterprise business goals, compliance laws, and operational budgets.
  • Conduct user research with store managers, regional leads, and associates to translate their pain points into actionable product requirements.
  • Partner with Data Science and Operations teams to build predictive scheduling models that accurately forecast labor demands while adhering to local labor laws.
  • Serve as the strategic bridge between IT Engineering, Data Science, Retail Operations, and Corporate Finance.
  • Own the roll-out strategy for system updates, ensuring store operations teams are equipped for high adoption rates and minimizing friction during product launches.

What you must have to be considered

  • 5+ years of experience managing complex B2B or enterprise SaaS products, specifically in Workforce Management (WFM), Human Capital Management (HCM), or Retail Operations Tech.
  • Proven ability to own a domain using strategic frameworks, making decisive, data-driven product choices while empowering cross-functional experts.
  • Comfort working with complex algorithmic systems, demand forecasting models, and integrations with modern WFM systems.
  • Strong capability to analyze labor metrics, operational KPIs, and financial impact models to prove product ROI to executive stakeholders.

These will help you succeed

  • Deep cognitive empathy and the ability to conduct user research that translates operational pain points into actionable product requirements.
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams and serving as a strategic bridge between technical and business stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated success in change management and driving high adoption rates for new systems in retail environments.
  • Analytical skills to evaluate labor optimization models and compliance with local labor laws.
  • A vivid understanding of the store environment and the ability to balance business needs with associate experience.
