Pega Lead Decisioning Architect - Associate Director - 00069800901

00069800901

About the Role

As a Pega Lead Decisioning Architect, you will make an impact by enabling our clients business teams with the latest capabilities of Pega Customer Decision Hub (CDH) and by architecting innovative, scalable decisioning solutions that support the organization's strategic growth objectives. You will be a valued member of Cognizant's Communications, Media & Technology (CMT) practice, working collaboratively with client business stakeholders, Marketing Operations teams, and global onsite/offshore delivery teams.

In this role, you will:

  • Lead the end-to-end architecture and design of Pega Customer Decision Hub (CDH) solutions, ensuring seamless customer experiences and strict adherence to Pega best practices across client’s enterprise ecosystem.
  • Provide strategic guidance on Next-Best-Action (NBA) design — spanning arbitration frameworks, engagement policies, treatments, contact policies, and multi-channel enablement — to support future scalability including new channels, lines of business, products, and services.
  • Advise and support the Marketing Operations team on optimal application configuration methodologies, ensuring simplification of support, efficient updates, and full alignment with business stakeholder requirements.
  • Lead client-facing discovery workshops and architecture sessions, translating complex decisioning concepts and design rationale to multi-level stakeholders with clarity, authority, and confidence — building trust in the proposed design and implementation journey.
  • Drive the design and delivery of new Pega CDH product features not yet implemented at our clients, while mentoring Senior Decisioning Architects and developers across global onsite and offshore teams.

Work Model

We strive to provide flexibility wherever possible. Based on this role's business requirements, this is a remote position open to qualified applicants in the United States. Regardless of your working arrangement, we are here to support a healthy work-life balance through our various wellbeing programs. The working arrangements for this role are accurate as of the date of posting. This may change based on the project you're engaged in, as well as business and client requirements. Rest assured; we will always be clear about role expectations.

What You Must Have to Be Considered

  • Deep, hands-on expertise with Pega Customer Decision Hub (CDH) — including arbitration, engagement policies, treatments, contact policies, and channel configuration at an enterprise scale.
  • Proven Next-Best-Action (NBA) design experience — building and simulating strategy canvases, implementing prioritization frameworks, and configuring arbitration weighting across customer lifecycle use cases.
  • Strong expertise in adaptive and predictive models — encompassing model lifecycle management, adaptive decisioning, propensity scoring, and text analytics.
  • Enterprise architecture proficiency — integration patterns, enterprise application design, migration roadmaps, governance models, and release management frameworks.
  • Demonstrated track record in client-facing engagement — leading discovery workshops, translating business KPIs (retention, conversion, NBA lift) into decisioning design, and steering de-customization and migration strategy conversations.
  • Strong knowledge of Pega Platform version 25.1.x and integration technologies including Kafka, Teradata, Telium, Cassandra, and REST/SOAP-based application integrations.

Required Certifications

  • ✅ Pega Lead Decisioning Architect (PLDA)
