About the role
As a Principal Technical Consultant, you will make an impact by designing and delivering innovative ServiceNow solutions that help clients achieve their business objectives while ensuring platform scalability, maintainability, and long-term value. You will be a valued member of the ServiceNow Consulting team and work collaboratively with customers, solution architects, engagement managers, developers, and implementation partners to drive successful digital transformation initiatives.
In this role, you will:
- Lead the design and delivery of complex ServiceNow solutions, ensuring alignment with business requirements, platform standards, and industry best practices.
- Advise customers on ServiceNow leading practices to support platform maintainability, future upgrades, and long-term success.
- Drive large-scale implementations, integrations, and complex deployment activities across multiple workstreams and stakeholders.
- Conduct customer workshops to assess current-state processes, define future-state capabilities, and translate requirements into technical solutions.
- Provide technical governance, code oversight, solution reviews, and quality assurance for project deliverables.
- Identify and mitigate project risks, resolve technical challenges, and ensure successful solution outcomes.
- Mentor and coach Technical Consultants, Senior Technical Consultants, and junior team members to build platform expertise and delivery excellence.
- Stay current with ServiceNow innovations, AI capabilities, platform enhancements, and industry trends, sharing knowledge across teams and customers.
Work model
We believe hybrid work is the way forward as we strive to provide flexibility wherever possible. Based on this role’s business requirements, this is a hybrid position requiring attendance at a Cognizant office and/or client location in Brazil as needed.

What you need to have to be considered
- 8+ years of experience within a professional services, consulting, or ServiceNow implementation environment.
- Proven expertise designing and delivering ServiceNow solutions across enterprise environments.
- Strong experience gathering requirements, facilitating workshops, and translating business needs into technical specifications and user stories.
- Deep knowledge of ServiceNow platform architecture, workflows, integrations, and implementation best practices.
- Demonstrated ability to lead complex deployments, technical governance activities, and cross-functional delivery teams.
- Experience identifying, analyzing, and resolving complex technical and business challenges.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to engage technical and business audiences.
- Experience leveraging AI tools and AI-driven insights to optimize workflows, improve decision-making, and deliver business value.
- Ability to travel up to 50% as required by project and client needs.
- Active ServiceNow certifications aligned to the supported workflow(s).

- Multiple ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist (CIS) certifications.
- Experience with ServiceNow AI capabilities, automation solutions, and digital workflow transformation initiatives.
- Expertise in enterprise integrations and complex multi-platform ecosystems.
- Experience leading global or large-scale ServiceNow transformation programs.
- Strong mentoring and technical leadership experience across consulting teams.
- Domain expertise in ITSM, ITOM, CSM, HRSD, SecOps, GRC, or other ServiceNow workflow areas.
