About the Role
As a Senior Developer, you will make an impact by designing, implementing, and supporting secure integration and managed file transfer solutions that enable critical cards and payments business processes. You will be a valued member of the integration engineering team and work collaboratively with cards and payments stakeholders, operations teams, architects, infrastructure teams, and business partners to deliver reliable, secure, and scalable transaction processing solutions across enterprise financial services platforms.
In This Role, You Will
Design and implement secure integration solutions using IBM MQ MFT, IBM Sterling Connect:Direct, and IBM Sterling B2B Integrator.
Develop and optimize cards and payments transaction flows supporting authorization, clearing, settlement, reconciliation, and dispute-related processes.
Configure and maintain secure file transfer solutions that enable reliable data exchange between internal systems, payment networks, and external partners.
Build and support proxy-based integration patterns that improve security, scalability, observability, and operational resilience.
Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve production issues involving message queues, file transfers, payment interfaces, and partner integrations.
Collaborate with business, technology, operations, and risk stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable integration solutions.
Implement monitoring, logging, alerting, and operational controls to ensure high availability and rapid incident response.
Participate in testing, deployment planning, release management, and post-implementation validation activities.
Document integration architectures, configuration standards, operational procedures, and support runbooks.
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives focused on automation, operational efficiency, risk mitigation, and platform modernization.

What You Need to Have to Be Considered
5-8 years of experience in enterprise integration, middleware, file transfer, or payment technology environments.
Strong hands-on experience with IBM MQ MFT administration, configuration, troubleshooting, and support.
Extensive experience with IBM Sterling Connect:Direct implementing secure, reliable, and scalable file transfer solutions.
Strong experience with IBM Sterling B2B Integrator including workflow development, partner onboarding, transformations, routing, and exception handling.
Experience supporting cards and payments business processes, including transaction processing, clearing, settlement, reconciliation, chargebacks, and dispute management.
Strong understanding of enterprise integration patterns, messaging architectures, managed file transfer solutions, and partner connectivity frameworks.
Experience troubleshooting production incidents involving file transfers, messaging platforms, and payment processing interfaces.
Knowledge of monitoring, logging, alerting, operational support, and incident management best practices.
Strong understanding of security, encryption, authentication, data protection, and compliance requirements within financial services environments.
Experience with system integration testing, release management, deployment activities, and production support processes.

Experience with high-volume transaction processing environments requiring strict service level commitments.
Familiarity with API integration platforms and modern integration architectures.

Experience mentoring team members and contributing to integration best practices and standards.

Salary and Other Compensation
The annual salary for this position is between $90,000 - $102,500 depending on experience and qualifications.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to plan terms.
