Associate Director – Compensation Partner Lead
Location: Chennai / Bangalore
About the Role
As an Associate Director – Compensation Partner Lead, you will drive compensation initiatives, design and implement reward interventions, and influence business decisions through data-driven insights. You will be a key member of the Compensation team, partnering closely with HR Business Partners, Compensation Leadership, and Global Total Rewards teams. You will have the autonomy to lead strategic compensation programs, innovate service delivery models, and improve processes while ensuring alignment with Cognizant’s compensation philosophy and business objectives.
In this role, you will:
- Collaborate with HR Business Partners (HRBPs) to design compensation structures that balance cost effectiveness, market competitiveness, and compliance requirements.
- Develop and execute compensation solutions that address critical business needs and statutory compliance requirements while supporting organizational objectives.
- Partner with HRBPs and Compensation Leadership to develop and refine business unit-specific compensation strategies and programs.
- Drive operational excellence by leading compensation initiatives, creating reusable templates and automated reporting solutions, and enhancing compensation service delivery through innovation.
- Manage stakeholder expectations, communicate program success criteria, monitor progress, and provide leadership with actionable insights and recommendations.

- Strong analytical and presentation skills.
- Ability to articulate complex compensation concepts and solutions effectively.
- Proven ability to manage complex projects and stakeholder relationships.
- Educational background in Human Resources.
- Experience partnering with business leaders and HR teams on compensation-related initiatives.
- A strong sense of ownership, desire to create meaningful outcomes, and passion for work that serves a greater good for customers, communities, or global challenges.

Work Model
We believe hybrid work is the way forward as we strive to provide flexibility wherever possible. Based on this role’s business requirements, this is a hybrid position requiring 3 days a week in a client or Cognizant office in Chennai or Bangalore.
