About the role
As a Senior Program Manager – Retail technology, you will make an impact by leading complex delivery initiatives and strengthening collaboration between business, technology, and program stakeholders.
You will work closely with business partners, delivery teams, and internal and external stakeholders to translate retail order management needs into clearly defined program outcomes and drive successful execution.
In this role, you will:
Lead complex, hybrid delivery initiatives within retail order management, ensuring program objectives, milestones, dependencies, and risks are effectively managed.
Build and maintain strong relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, creating alignment across business and delivery teams.
Establish structured governance through status reviews, stakeholder forums, and decision-making meetings to promote transparency, timely risk resolution, and shared ownership.
Guide Agile and Scrum delivery teams, supporting effective planning, execution, collaboration, and delivery.
Partner closely with retail order management stakeholders to translate customer and store operations requirements into clear, actionable program deliverables.

What you need to have to be considered
18+ years of experience managing complex programs or delivery initiatives, with demonstrated experience in retail order management.
Strong experience leading Agile and Scrum delivery in complex, cross-functional environments.
Demonstrated expertise in program management, including program health tracking, governance, risk and dependency management, and delivery oversight.
Strong technical knowledge of enterprise application architecture, including Java, APIs, microservices, and cloud-based solutions.
Strong stakeholder and business relationship management capabilities, with experience working across internal and external stakeholder groups.
Experience partnering with retail business teams to translate customer and store operations requirements into program deliverables.
These will help you stand out
Experience managing large-scale retail technology or order management transformation programs.
Experience working within hybrid delivery models involving multiple business and technology stakeholder groups.
Strong facilitation skills across program governance, executive/status reviews, risk discussions, and decision forums.
Demonstrated ability to lead delivery teams through Agile ways of working while maintaining clear program-level governance.
Salary and Other Compensation:
The annual salary for this position is depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
