About the role
Seeking a Senior PowerApps Developer to design, develop, and modernize Power Platform solutions for Learning & Development programs. The role focuses on building enterprise-grade solutions using Power Pages and Dataverse, including migrating existing SharePoint and PowerApps applications to scalable portal-based platforms.
The position involves leading solution design, environment setup, and licensing coordination, while enhancing existing applications and delivering high-quality outcomes. Close collaboration with stakeholders and Power Platform admins is key to ensuring secure, governed, and scalable solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Architecture & Modernization: Design and implement end-to-end Power Pages solutions using Dataverse, including data models, security roles, and migration from SharePoint/PowerApps to modern architectures.
- Application Development: Build and enhance PowerApps (Canvas/Model-driven) for L&D use cases, ensuring performance, scalability, and ongoing optimization.
- Workflow & Portal Design: Develop Power Automate workflows (approvals, reminders, escalations) and design Power Pages portals for learner and trainer interactions.
- Data & Reporting: Handle data transformation with Power Query, integrate with SharePoint, Office 365, and LMS, and create Power BI dashboards for analytics, compliance, and SLA tracking.
- Platform Management: Configure and manage Power Platform environments (Dev/Test/Prod), including Dataverse provisioning, governance, licensing, and environment setup.
- Delivery & Collaboration: Lead requirements gathering through deployment and support, enhance existing solutions, collaborate with stakeholders, and ensure security and role-based access.

Required Skills
- Experience with PowerApps (Canvas & Model-driven) development
- Hands-on experience with Power Pages (portal setup & customization)
- Good knowledge of Power Automate workflows
- Understanding of Dataverse (data modeling, security, integrations)
- Familiarity with Power Query and data integration
- Working knowledge of SharePoint and Power BI
- Ability to gather requirements and improve existing applications
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
Preferred Skills
- Experience with Power Platform environment setup and administration
- Exposure to modernizing PowerApps/SharePoint solutions
- Familiarity with Power Platform CLI and deployment tools
- Knowledge of Power Pages design and lifecycle management
- Awareness of licensing and capacity planning
Domain Experience (Nice to Have)
- Exposure to Learning & Development or training workflows (requests, approvals, tracking)

The annual salary range for this position is between $95.000 – $110.000 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
