Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Subject Matter Expert in Loan Originations with 4 to 6 years of experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in MS Excel and a strong understanding of mortgage origination and underwriting processes. This is a night shift work-from-office role with no travel requirements.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline loan origination processes and ensure compliance with industry standards.
- Utilize advanced MS Excel functionalities to analyze organize and interpret loan-related data for actionable insights.
- Provide expert guidance on mortgage origination and underwriting processes to enhance operational efficiency.
- Monitor and evaluate loan applications to ensure adherence to regulatory and organizational guidelines.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve data accuracy and minimize errors in loan processing.
- Support the team in resolving complex loan-related issues by applying domain expertise in underwriting.
- Conduct regular audits and reviews of loan documentation to maintain quality and compliance standards.
- Train and mentor junior team members on best practices in loan origination and underwriting.
- Prepare detailed reports and dashboards using MS Excel to track key performance indicators and operational metrics.
- Coordinate with stakeholders to address discrepancies and ensure seamless loan processing workflows.
- Stay updated on industry trends and regulatory changes to proactively adapt processes and maintain compliance.
- Contribute to the development of policies and procedures that enhance the efficiency of loan origination operations.
- Ensure that all tasks are completed within the stipulated timelines while maintaining high-quality standards.
Qualifications
- Possess advanced proficiency in MS Excel including pivot tables formulas and data visualization techniques.
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of mortgage origination and underwriting processes with prior experience in these domains being highly desirable.
- Exhibit excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to address complex loan-related challenges effectively.
- Showcase strong communication skills to collaborate with teams and present findings clearly.
- Have a detail-oriented approach to ensure accuracy and compliance in loan documentation and processing.
- Display adaptability to work in a night shift environment and contribute actively to team goals.
Certifications Required
Advanced MS Excel Certification Mortgage Underwriting Certification is a plus.
