Cognizant is seeking an experienced Engagement Delivery Manager to join our growing Digital Engineering Studio practice.
As the single point of accountability for end-to-end delivery, you will lead complex client engagements, ensuring successful execution of digital transformation initiatives, software development programs, and technology services. You will be responsible for delivering projects on time, within budget, and according to agreed quality standards while maintaining strong client relationships.
This position combines IT Delivery Management, Program Management, Client Engagement, Financial Management, Resource Planning, and Team Leadership. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, business stakeholders, and executive leadership to drive successful outcomes in a fast-paced consulting environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Delivery & Engagement Management
- Own the end-to-end delivery lifecycle for one or more technology and digital transformation engagements.
- Ensure delivery alignment with contractual commitments, Statements of Work (SOWs), SLAs, budgets, timelines, and quality standards.
- Drive successful project execution across multiple workstreams and distributed teams.
Demand Planning & Resource Management
- Lead demand forecasting, workforce planning, and capacity management activities.
- Partner with resource management teams to secure the right skills and capabilities at the right time.
- Optimize resource utilization while maintaining delivery quality and client satisfaction.
Client & Stakeholder Management
- Act as the primary point of contact for senior client stakeholders, including executive and C-level leadership.
- Build trusted relationships and provide strategic guidance throughout the engagement lifecycle.
- Manage expectations, communicate progress, and proactively address risks and challenges.
People Leadership
- Lead, coach, mentor, and develop multidisciplinary onshore and offshore teams.
- Foster a high-performance culture focused on accountability, collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
- Support talent development, succession planning, and employee engagement initiatives.
Financial & Commercial Management
- Own the financial performance and profitability (P&L) of assigned engagements.
- Manage budgets, forecast revenue, monitor costs, and ensure effective financial governance.
- Oversee invoicing milestones, revenue recognition, and margin optimization.
Risk & Quality Management
- Identify, assess, monitor, and mitigate program and project risks.
- Maintain comprehensive risk and issue management processes.
- Ensure compliance with governance frameworks, delivery standards, and quality controls.
Continuous Improvement & Delivery Excellence
- Lead retrospectives and lessons-learned sessions.
- Promote adoption of Agile, SAFe, PRINCE2, and modern delivery methodologies.
- Drive process improvements, operational efficiency, and delivery excellence initiatives.
Pre-Sales & Solution Support
- Collaborate with sales, solution architects, and business development teams during pursuit activities.
- Support proposal creation, effort estimation, SOW development, transition planning, and solution shaping.
- Contribute delivery expertise to win new business opportunities.
REQUIRED CALIFICATIONS
- 7+ years of experience in IT Delivery Management, Program Management, Engagement Management, Project Management, or Technology Consulting.
- Proven success delivering large-scale, complex technology programs and digital transformation projects.
- Strong experience in demand management, workforce planning, resource forecasting, and capacity management.
- Demonstrated experience leading geographically distributed and multicultural teams.
- Strong financial management skills, including P&L ownership, budgeting, forecasting, and cost optimization.
- Experience managing executive stakeholders and complex client relationships.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Fluent in English and Spanish, both written and spoken.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- PMP, PRINCE2, MSP, PgMP, or equivalent project/program management certification.
- Experience with Agile delivery frameworks including Scrum, SAFe, Kanban, and hybrid methodologies.
- Understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC), front-end and back-end development projects.
- Experience working with cloud platforms such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Background in IT outsourcing, managed services, application development, transition, and transformation programs.
- ITIL Foundation certification or higher.
