Job Title: Network Engineer (Cisco/Meraki – Store Network Lifecycle)

Job Location: Hybrid-Halifax, NS, Canada

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Network Engineer to support store network lifecycle activities. This role focuses on managing and maintaining Cisco Meraki-based network environments, including device lifecycle tracking, configuration validation, and operational reporting. The ideal candidate brings foundational expertise in cloud-managed networking, demonstrates strong collaboration and communication skills, and can effectively prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.

In this role, you will

  • Track and report on inventory KPIs related to network devices and lifecycle status

  • Monitor inventory levels and lifecycle stages of network hardware across store environments

  • Create, maintain, and update documentation related to network configurations, updates, and changes

  • Act as an escalation point for troubleshooting anomalies and identifying network-related issues

  • Validate and verify configurations of newly deployed Cisco Meraki devices

  • Ensure proper decommissioning and removal of lifecycle-completed devices from the Meraki Dashboard

  • Provide detailed and structured progress reports on network lifecycle activities to stakeholders

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including operations, engineering, and business stakeholders

What you’ll need to succeed (required skills)

  • 7+ years of networking experience with a strong focus on Cisco/Meraki environments

  • Hands-on experience with Cisco Meraki networking technologies, including:

    • MX (Security & SD-WAN appliances)

    • MS (Switches)

    • MR (Wireless access points)

  • Strong understanding of cloud-managed networking concepts and architectures

  • Familiarity with Meraki Dashboard, including navigation, monitoring, and configuration capabilities

  • Knowledge of Meraki profiles, templates, and deployment practices

  • Understanding of network lifecycle management processes

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to work with both technical and non-technical audiences

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver within timelines

Preferred Skills

  • Understanding of project management concepts and lifecycle delivery models

  • Exposure to POS systems, retail back-office environments, and store connectivity dependencies

  • Experience working in large-scale distributed retail or enterprise network environments

  • Familiarity with IT documentation standards and reporting practices
