Job Summary
Conduct in-depth Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for critical production incidents and document findings with clear technical details and remediation steps. Analyse diagnostic logs telemetry data and performance metrics from enterprise platforms cloud services network devices and distributed systems. Troubleshoot and resolve issues across Splunk enterprise infrastructure. Replicate and reproduce customer-reported issues in lab or staging environments for detailed investigation and validation.
Responsibilities
Conduct in-depth Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for critical production incidents and document findings with clear technical details and remediation steps. Analyse diagnostic logs telemetry data and performance metrics from enterprise platforms cloud services network devices and distributed systems. Troubleshoot and resolve issues across Splunk enterprise infrastructure. Replicate and reproduce customer-reported issues in lab or staging environments for detailed investigation and validation. Diagnose and troubleshoot scenarios including search execution limitations data onboarding challenges cloud integration failures dashboard and reporting inconsistencies field extraction and parsing issues lookup failures and event correlation problems. Create and manage JIRA tickets for identified bugs enhancements and operational improvements while coordinating with engineering teams through resolution. Develop update and maintain technical knowledge base articles troubleshooting guides SOPs and operational documentation. Automate repetitive operational tasks using scripting and infrastructure automation tools. Demonstrate advanced troubleshooting and debugging skills strong analytical thinking customer-focused problem solving cross-functional collaboration and the ability to work in high-pressure production environments.
Required technical skills include cloud and platform technologies such as AWS Azure and Google Cloud Platform. Proficiency in SPL queries Linux system administration Splunk administration and search optimization is essential. Candidates should be capable of analysing Splunk logs metadata and scheduler.log with awareness of vulnerability and threat management and basic knowledge of networking concepts. A solid understanding of Splunk architecture and its core components is required along with experience using JIRA Confluence and Git/GitHub.
Key competencies include advanced troubleshooting analytical thinking and customer-focused collaboration. Preferred qualifications include AWS Certified Solutions Architect Azure Administrator and Splunk Certified Admin.
