About the role
As a ServiceNow SPM Technical Architect, you will make an impact by leading the design, development, and delivery of Strategic Portfolio Management (SPM) solutions on the ServiceNow platform. You will be a valued member of our delivery team and collaborate closely with stakeholders, architects, and development teams to deliver scalable, high‑quality solutions that align with business objectives and industry best practices.
In this role, you will:
- Lead requirements workshops and design discussions, providing expert guidance on ServiceNow and SPM best practices.
- Translate business requirements and user stories into scalable, end‑to‑end technical solutions.
- Design and develop complex ServiceNow SPM solutions, ensuring high standards of quality and performance.
- Create and maintain architecture, integration, and technical documentation.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior and mid‑level developers.
- Define solution frameworks, integration strategies, and governance models aligned to enterprise standards.
- Act as the final escalation point for technical decisions and solution design within projects.
- Support solution scoping, effort estimation, and continuous improvement of delivery processes and best practices.

What you need to have to be considered
- 7+ years of experience working on the ServiceNow platform.
- 5+ years of experience in the SPM (Strategic Portfolio Management) domain.
- 4+ years of experience designing and architecting ServiceNow solutions.
- Proven track record of delivering multiple ServiceNow implementations (20+ preferred).
- Strong experience in scripting, application development, APIs, web services, and integrations.
- Expertise in translating business needs into scalable technical solutions.
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
- ServiceNow certifications including Certified System Administrator (CSA) and Application Developer (SPM CIS preferred).
These will help you stand out
- ServiceNow Certified Technical Architect (CTA) or advanced certifications.
- Experience across additional ServiceNow modules beyond SPM.
- Strong understanding of governance frameworks, organizational change management, and enterprise architecture principles.
- Experience mentoring teams and leading large‑scale ServiceNow implementations.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills in consulting environments.

The annual salary for this position will be in the range of $119,000 - $139,000 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
