Sr Guidewire Developer/Architect – ClaimCenter
About the role
Serve as a Principal Architect in an insurance solutions group shaping end to end enterprise architecture for large scale insurance platforms built on Guidewire ClaimCenter and related tools and accelerators. Drive hybrid model solution delivery for global clients ensuring architectural integrity performance security and compliance while mentoring technical teams and aligning technology outcomes with business goals.
In this role, you will:
End-to-End Solution Design
- Architect and design end-to-end insurance solutions across multiple layers:
- Customer interaction channels (voice, mobile, portal, messaging)
- Core platforms (Guidewire ClaimCenter / GWCP)
- Document management systems (e.g., FileNet, ingestion platforms)
- AI and automation layers (summarization agents, workflow automation)
Integration & Architecture Patterns
- Define and implement integration strategies across:
- Guidewire ecosystem and third-party/vendor platforms
- AI services and claims processing platforms
- Intake channels and backend systems
- Establish and govern:
- API contracts and service interfaces
- Event-driven architecture patterns
- Data exchange and interoperability standards
Architecture Governance & Standards
- Develop and enforce enterprise architecture standards, including:
- Solution architecture frameworks and patterns
- Canonical data models and structures
- Technical standards across the claims program
- Lead architecture review boards and governance forums
- Ensure code quality, scalability, and adherence to design standards
Stakeholder & Delivery Collaboration
- Collaborate closely with:
- Business stakeholders and product owners
- Internal engineering and platform teams
- External vendors and partners
- Translate business requirements into scalable and sustainable technical solutions
- Review, validate, and guide solution approaches
- Provide architectural direction and proactively resolve cross-team dependencies
Innovation & Solution Validation
- Lead proof-of-concepts (POCs) and technical evaluations to validate solutions and emerging technologies
- Drive adoption of modern capabilities across:
- AI and intelligent automation
- Digital channels and customer experience platforms

What you need to have to be considered
- Strong background in Property & Casualty (P&C) insurance
- Experience within the Claims domain
- Hands-on experience with Guidewire ClaimCenter or Guidewire Cloud Platform (GWCP)

Salary and Other Compensation:

The annual salary for this position is between CAD 74,000 - CAD 155,000 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
