Cognizant is seeking an AWS Enterprise Architect for a full-time remote opportunity. Candidates must be located and authorized to work in the US. Cognizant will not be able to offer visa sponsorship now or anytime in the future.
Responsibilities:
· Assessment of AWS landing zone and Control Tower / AFT assessments and improvements.
· Modernize AWS Control Tower account provisioning process.
· Define Golden Paths & Platform Standards.
· Define multi-account strategy, environment separation, and shared services model.
· Design IAM architecture including roles, permission boundaries, and AWS Identity Center integration.
· Define network architecture, segmentation, routing, and connectivity guardrails
· Establish enterprise tagging, naming standards, and security/compliance guardrails. (SCP intent)
· Define Advanced ServiceNow-based Cloud Intake, approval gates, and SLAs; Integrate ServiceNow with AWS Identity Center for access management,
· Create and maintain AWS reference architectures and golden paths (EC2, ECS, EKS, Serverless).
· Define policy-as-code intent in collaboration with DevOps teams.
· Provide architectural guidance for DR, resilience, RTO/RPO, and SRE fundamentals.
· Review designs and provide architectural oversight for AWS workloads.
· Develop COE documentation, standards, and onboarding materials.
· Fin Ops – Optimization strategy.
Qualifications:
Ten plus years of experience with AWS Organizations, Control Tower, IAM, VPC, and Security services.
Expertise with Enterprise Cloud Governance and compliance models.
Strong understanding of security, networking, resilience, and cost optimization.
Hands-on experience designing large-scale AWS architecture.
The salary range for this role is between $137,000 and $161,000 annually depending on skills and qualifications of the candidate. Applications will be accepted till 10th July 2026.
