Job Summary

Infra Technology Specialist role focuses on designing implementing and optimizing virtual desktop infrastructure solutions using Azure Virtual Desktop Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops and Citrix Cloud for enterprise clients in a hybrid work setting. The specialist ensures secure resilient and high performance end user environments supports rotational operations and collaborates across teams to drive reliable digital workplace experiences.


Responsibilities

  • Design robust virtual desktop infrastructure solutions using Azure Virtual Desktop and Citrix stacks that deliver reliable and secure access to business applications for a global workforce in a hybrid work environment.
  • Implement scalable Azure Virtual Desktop deployments that align with corporate standards and optimize resource utilization while maintaining consistent performance across rotational shifts.
  • Configure Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops environments including delivery controllers virtual delivery agents and resource locations to ensure stable and efficient application and desktop delivery.
  • Administer Citrix Cloud components to support seamless integration with on premises and cloud resources and to enable flexible management of virtual desktop workloads.
  • Monitor infrastructure health using enterprise monitoring tools and Azure native capabilities to proactively identify performance bottlenecks and capacity risks impacting end user productivity.
  • Troubleshoot complex incidents related to session connectivity profile issues application performance and authentication flows to restore services within defined service level targets.
  • Optimize image management and golden templates for Azure Virtual Desktop and Citrix environments to reduce login times improve stability and simplify patching cycles.
  • Coordinate with security and compliance teams to apply policies conditional access and hardening measures that protect virtual desktops and sensitive data without hindering user experience.
  • Document architecture diagrams runbooks configuration baselines and operational procedures that support knowledge sharing and consistent service delivery across rotational teams.
  • Collaborate with application owners and cloud engineering groups to validate compatibility streamline integrations and ensure that business critical workloads run reliably on virtual desktop platforms.
  • Analyze usage metrics and cost drivers to recommend adjustments in capacity planning autoscaling and licensing that support financial efficiency while maintaining service quality.
  • Support transition and migration activities from legacy VDI platforms to Azure Virtual Desktop and Citrix Cloud by executing well defined cutover plans and validating user readiness.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by proposing enhancements incorporating user feedback and aligning VDI services with the company purpose of enabling secure digital work and broader societal productivity.

  • Qualifications

  • Demonstrate strong hands on experience with Azure Virtual Desktop including host pool design session configuration image lifecycle management and integration with identity services.
  • Exhibit deep technical proficiency in Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops such as provisioning methods profile management and policies that affect performance and user experience.
  • Show proven capabilities with Citrix Cloud administration including configuration of cloud connectors and resource locations in hybrid infrastructure scenarios.
  • Apply solid understanding of networking fundamentals virtualization storage concepts and Windows platform management to support resilient VDI solutions.
  • Utilize practical experience in enterprise operations with rotational support models including incident management problem management and change processes.
  • Leverage scripting or automation skills using tools such as PowerShell to streamline recurring operational tasks and standardize VDI deployments.
  • Demonstrate effective communication and collaboration abilities that enable cross functional coordination with infrastructure security and application teams in a hybrid work setting.

  • Certifications Required

    Preferred certifications in Azure Virtual Desktop administration or Citrix Certified Associate Virtualization
