Cognizant’s Banking & Financial Services (BFS) Consulting practice partners with global banks, fintechs, and financial institutions to deliver digital transformation and innovation at scale. Our teams work at the forefront of emerging technologies, including digital assets, blockchain, and tokenization, helping clients design and implement next-generation financial solutions.

This role offers an opportunity to work with leading European clients on transformative initiatives involving stablecoins, programmable money, and tokenized financial ecosystems.


About the Role

As a Consulting Manager – Business Analysis, Digital Assets, you will lead business analysis efforts across digital asset initiatives, with a focus on stablecoins and tokenized money. You will translate complex blockchain concepts into scalable, compliant, and business-ready solutions, working closely with cross-functional stakeholders across product, technology, and regulatory teams.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead requirements elicitation and documentation for digital asset use cases including stablecoin issuance, redemption, settlement, custody, and digital wallets
  • Translate business needs into functional specifications, user stories, and acceptance criteria
  • Define token lifecycle flows, including smart contract behaviors and on-chain/off-chain integrations
  • Act as a bridge between Product Owners, architects, engineering teams, compliance, and operations stakeholders
  • Drive solution design discussions and support functional trade-off analysis
  • Ensure alignment of solutions with regulatory frameworks such as MiCA, AML, KYC, and e-money regulations
  • Support testing, validation, and release readiness activities to ensure successful delivery
  • Facilitate stakeholder workshops, requirement walkthroughs, and solution discussions

Skills & Experience

Domain Expertise

  • Strong experience in digital assets, including stablecoins, tokenization, and programmable money
  • Solid understanding of blockchain ecosystems, digital wallets, and smart contracts
  • Familiarity with financial services domains such as banking, payments, or fintech

Functional Skills

  • Proven experience in Business Analysis, Functional Analysis, Product Ownership, or consulting roles
  • Strong expertise in requirements gathering, documentation (BRD/FRD), and stakeholder engagement
  • Ability to translate complex concepts into clear and actionable functional requirements

Technical Skills

  • Understanding of blockchain transaction flows, token lifecycle management, and smart contract logic
  • Exposure to Ethereum, EVM-based chains, permissioned ledgers, and ERC-20 standards
  • Knowledge of integration patterns between on-chain and off-chain systems

Delivery Experience

  • Experience working in Agile delivery environments
  • Strong collaboration with cross-functional teams including product, engineering, and compliance
  • Experience supporting testing, validation, and implementation phases

Contribution to Development of Practice

  • Contribute to capability development in digital assets and blockchain consulting
  • Support knowledge management, reusable assets, and solution accelerators within the practice
  • Develop thought leadership content such as white papers, POVs, and insights on digital assets and tokenization

Industry Experience

  • 4+ years of experience in consulting, business analysis, or product roles within digital assets, fintech, or financial services
  • Experience working on blockchain, tokenization, or digital asset initiatives preferred
  • Understanding of regulatory frameworks such as MiCA, EMD2, PSD2, and AML/KYC is highly desirable

Location

Brussels, Belgium (Hybrid – 3 days per week in client or Cognizant office)
