About the role
As a Principal Technical Architect – ServiceNow (CTA), you will make an impact by designing and governing enterprise-scale ServiceNow solutions that help clients achieve complex business objectives and transform the way work gets done. You will be a valued member of the ServiceNow consulting practice and work collaboratively with business stakeholders, solution architects, technical architects, delivery teams, and executive leaders to drive successful outcomes across strategic client engagements.
In this role, you will:
Design scalable, innovative, and business-focused ServiceNow solutions that align with client goals and enterprise architecture standards.
Translate business requirements and technical needs into clear architectural blueprints and implementation strategies.
Serve as a trusted technical advisor and Design Authority, providing governance, guidance, and oversight throughout the solution lifecycle.
Lead architecture and delivery teams, mentoring consultants and architects while promoting technical excellence and best practices.
Support pre-sales activities, including solution scoping, estimates, statements of work, thought leadership, and client presentations.

What you need to have to be considered
Extensive experience architecting and delivering enterprise-scale ServiceNow solutions across multiple business functions.
Proven expertise in ServiceNow platform architecture, governance, operating models, and implementation best practices.
Strong ability to analyze business requirements and translate them into scalable technical solutions and architectural roadmaps.
Experience leading technical teams, mentoring architects and consultants, and driving delivery excellence across complex engagements.
Demonstrated success collaborating with executive stakeholders, business leaders, and cross-functional teams.
Experience establishing architectural standards, governance frameworks, and quality assurance practices throughout the project lifecycle.
Strong consulting and client-facing skills, including requirements gathering, executive presentations, and strategic advisory services.
Experience supporting pre-sales activities, including solution design, estimates, proposals, and Statements of Work.
Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
These will help you stand out
ServiceNow Certified Technical Architect (CTA) certification.
Experience designing and implementing ServiceNow platform operating models and governance frameworks.
Deep knowledge of enterprise architecture principles, IT service management, workflow automation, and digital transformation initiatives.
Experience contributing to thought leadership through industry events, webinars, blogs, white papers, or client workshops.
Proven track record of driving organizational growth through recruiting, resource planning, and talent development.
Experience managing consulting KPIs, resource utilization, capacity planning, and operational excellence initiatives.
Ability to proactively identify future client challenges and develop innovative solutions that deliver measurable business value.

The annual salary for this position will be in the range of $114K - $128K depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
