About the role
As a Senior Angular Full Stack Developer, you will make an impact by designing, developing, and enhancing enterprise-scale digital banking applications that support customer engagement, operational efficiency, and business transformation initiatives. You will be a valued member of the engineering team and work collaboratively with architects, product owners, business stakeholders, quality engineering teams, and fellow developers to deliver innovative technology solutions for a leading Canadian financial institution.
In this role, you will:
- Design and develop scalable single-page applications using Angular (v9-v12), TypeScript, and modern frontend architectural patterns.
- Build responsive, accessible, and high-performing user experiences using HTML5, CSS3, Bootstrap, Tailwind CSS, SASS, and LESS.
- Develop and integrate RESTful APIs, Node.js services, Python-based solutions, and Kafka-driven event processing capabilities to support digital banking applications.
- Drive software quality through unit testing, code reviews, secure coding practices, performance optimization, and adherence to engineering standards.
- Collaborate with business, product, and technology teams to deliver solutions that support customer-facing and internal banking platforms while resolving production issues and improving application reliability.

What you need to have to be considered
- 8 to 12 years of experience in software development, including the design and delivery of enterprise web applications.
- Strong experience developing enterprise web applications using Angular (v9-v12), TypeScript, and Object-Oriented JavaScript.
- Hands-on expertise with HTML5, CSS3, responsive design principles, Bootstrap, Tailwind CSS, SASS, and LESS.
- Experience integrating and consuming REST APIs, including authentication, authorization, and error handling within enterprise environments.
- Proven experience developing applications and services using Node.js and Python.
- Working knowledge of Kafka, GitHub, Jasmine, ESLint, and modern software development lifecycle practices.
These will help you stand out
- Experience working within the Banking and Financial Services industry, particularly with Canadian banking institutions.
- Experience supporting digital banking, retail banking, commercial banking, payments, lending, or customer onboarding platforms.
- Knowledge of event-driven architectures, microservices, and cloud-native application development.
- Experience working in highly regulated environments with strong security and compliance requirements.
- Demonstrated ability to mentor team members and contribute to engineering best practices.

· We regularly assess market data to ensure we offer a competitive compensation package for our associates. The base salary for this position ranges between 81,337 CAD – $141,500 CAD per year.
· Where the successful candidate may fall within the range depends on relevant education, work and/or management experience and other business-related and job-necessary qualifications. This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual performance-based bonus, as well as benefits that support your physical, mental and financial wellbeing.
