About the Role

As a DLP Monitoring Senior Analyst (Zscaler) – Health Sciences, you will drive impactful contributions focused on protecting sensitive healthcare, clinical research, and business data. You will be a key member of the Cybersecurity and Information Protection team, collaborating with Security, Compliance, Privacy, Legal, and Business stakeholders to identify data loss risks, investigate incidents, and ensure regulatory compliance. You will have the autonomy to lead investigations, improve monitoring processes, and strengthen data protection programs while upholding our commitment to quality and continuous learning.

In This Role, You Will:

  • Lead monitoring and investigation of Data Loss Prevention (DLP) incidents generated through Zscaler DLP and related security technologies.
  • Assess potential data exfiltration events and perform risk-based analysis to determine business impact.
  • Validate true positive and false positive DLP alerts and recommend appropriate remediation actions.
  • Investigate incidents involving PHI, PII, ePHI, clinical trial data, patient information, intellectual property, and research data.
  • Partner with Security, Privacy, Compliance, Legal, and Business teams to coordinate incident response, support audits, and ensure adherence to healthcare data protection requirements.

What You Must Have to Be Considered

  • 7-10 years of experience in Cyber Security, Information Security, Data Privacy, or Data Loss Prevention.
  • Minimum 4+ years of hands-on experience investigating and monitoring DLP incidents using Zscaler DLP or comparable DLP technologies.
  • Experience supporting Healthcare, Life Sciences, Pharmaceutical, Clinical Research, or related regulated environments.
  • Strong understanding of HIPAA Privacy Rule, HIPAA Security Rule, PHI, ePHI, GDPR Personal Data, and Special Category Data.
  • Experience conducting incident investigations, risk assessments, and remediation tracking.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft 365 security technologies including SharePoint Online, OneDrive, Teams, and Exchange Online.
  • Strong understanding of data classification, information protection, and cloud security fundamentals.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

  • Strong knowledge of cross-border data transfer requirements, data minimization principles, and data retention requirements.

Salary and Other Compensation:

Applications will be accepted until October 1, 2026.

The annual salary for this position is between $85,000 - $95,000, depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
