About the role
As a Senior Java Developer, you will make an impact by designing, developing, and maintaining scalable enterprise applications using Java, Spring Boot, and Microservices technologies. You will be a valued member of the Digital Engineering team and work collaboratively with architects, quality engineering teams, DevOps/SRE teams, product owners, and business stakeholders to deliver high-quality technology solutions.
In this role, you will:
- Design, develop, and enhance enterprise applications using Java, Spring Boot, and Microservices architecture.
- Build, maintain, and optimize RESTful APIs and backend services to support business-critical applications.
- Collaborate with architects, developers, QA engineers, and DevOps teams throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Troubleshoot application issues and implement scalable, high-performance solutions.
- Mentor junior developers and contribute to technical leadership, best practices, and code quality initiatives.

What you need to have to be considered
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
- 8+ years of experience in software development using Java technologies.
- Strong hands-on experience with Java, Spring Boot, and Microservices architecture.
- Experience developing and consuming RESTful APIs and web services.
- Solid understanding of object-oriented programming, design patterns, and software engineering best practices.
- Experience working within Agile development methodologies.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and business stakeholders.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
These will help you stand out
- Experience working in the insurance or financial services industry.
- Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and containerized application deployments.
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
- Prior experience mentoring developers and leading technical initiatives.

Salary Transparency
The annual salary for this position is between $70,000 and $117,000 depending on experience, qualifications, and other factors permitted by law.
