AVEVA PI Systems Analyst ( Remote)

Job Summary

We are seeking a PI Systems Analyst with 2+ years of hands-on experience in AVEVA (OSI) PI System administration including PI AF SDK .NET Framework/Core and MSSQL. This role supports and extends our real-time operational data infrastructure working across PI Tags Asset Framework (AF) and end-user visualization tools to ensure reliable well-modeled plant data for business and engineering users.

Responsibilities

1. Create and edit PI Tags to support new and existing data sources

2. Build AF Elements using existing Templates and design new AF Templates leveraging substitution parameters for scalable asset modeling

3. Develop AF Analyses and configure Notifications to support automated monitoring and alerting

4. Troubleshoot data flow issues end-to-end - from source Interfaces through to consuming applications such as PI DataLink and PI Vision

5. Follow documented operational procedures and identify/author revisions to improve accuracy and efficiency

6. Communicate clearly and professionally with end users translating technical issues into actionable updates

7. Document troubleshooting steps and configuration changes with sufficient detail for team continuity

8. Apply a working understanding of firewalls network ports and basic network testing tools to support data connectivity troubleshooting

Requirement:

1. 2+ years of experience with AVEVA PI System (AF SDK PI Tags AF Templates/Analyses/Notifications)

2. Working knowledge of .NET Framework/Core and MSSQL

3. Familiarity with PI DataLink PI Vision and PI Interfaces

4. Basic networking knowledge (firewalls ports network diagnostic tools)

5. Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interface directly with end users

6. Demonstrated ability to work independently and follow/improve documented procedures

The annual salary for this position is between $70,000 - $105,000 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
