About the role
As a Senior Technical Engineer, you will make an impact by designing, modernizing, and optimizing secure and resilient infrastructure solutions that support scalable enterprise applications and services. You will work collaboratively with application development, infrastructure, security, compliance, and reporting teams to deliver reliable platforms across hybrid environments.
In this role, you will:
Design and optimize hybrid infrastructure solutions integrating container platforms, remote desktop environments, network access, and enterprise services to deliver secure, scalable, and reliable solutions.
Develop and standardize CI/CD and automation patterns using Jenkins and CloudBees to support reliable automated builds, testing, releases, and application lifecycle management.
Lead platform modernization, release, upgrade, and migration initiatives, including container-based deployment models and continuous integration and delivery patterns using technologies such as Kubernetes, Docker, Terraform Enterprise, GitHub, Helm, ArgoCD, Jenkins, and CloudBees.
Your expertise in Oracle Visual Builder, Visual Studio, Jenkins, CloudBees, Docker, container technologies, automation, and remote desktop solutions will help enable streamlined application delivery, reliable reporting, and consistent user experiences across global operations.
Support and continually improve enterprise platforms, including Oracle Visual Builder and remote desktop technologies, by troubleshooting complex infrastructure and integration issues, optimizing capacity and resource utilization, and documenting reusable architecture and operational standards.

Based on this role’s business requirements, this is a hybrid position in Hartford, CT. requiring 3 days in a client or Cognizant office. What you need to have to be considered
7+ years of experience owning product strategy, roadmaps, requirements, and prioritized backlogs for enterprise technology products, developer platforms and supporting hybrid infrastructure solutions.
Hands-on knowledge of Oracle Visual Builder, Jenkins, CloudBees, Docker, and related container and automation technologies.
Knowledge of containerization and platform technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, Helm, ArgoCD, GitHub, Jenkins, or CloudBees.
Ability to translate developer, business, security, and operational needs into clear product requirements, acceptance criteria, architecture standards, and delivery priorities.
Experience collaborating across application development, infrastructure, cybersecurity, procurement, software vendors, and business stakeholder groups.
These will help you stand out
Previous experience working in Insurance domain
Experience managing a large portfolio of enterprise developer tools or platforms serving a broad engineering community.
Experience with JetBrains licensing platforms, including License Vault, or with enterprise administration of Visual Studio, Visual Studio Code, and IntelliJ IDEA.
Demonstrated experience improving technology utilization, expanding platform adoption, or delivering measurable software-licensing savings.
Experience modernizing legacy workloads through containerization or migration to modern infrastructure platforms.
Demonstrated ability to evaluate emerging infrastructure, DevOps, and automation technologies and identify opportunities to improve platform resilience and efficiency.

Salary and Other Compensation:
The annual salary for this position is between $79,240 to $133,500 between depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
