Role Summary:
We are looking for an experienced Data Modeler to design and develop scalable data models across modern data platforms. The role involves working closely with business stakeholders, data architects, and data engineering teams to build data foundations, analytical data marts, and business-ready data products.
The ideal candidate should have strong experience in data warehousing, dimensional modeling, data governance, and cloud-based analytics platforms.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and maintain logical and physical data models.
- Define fact, dimension, and aggregate tables for reporting and analytics.
- Develop scalable data structures that support business intelligence and data-driven decision-making.
- Create and maintain source-to-target mapping documentation.
- Define business rules, data relationships, and transformation logic.
- Design data models across:
- Raw Data Layer
- Curated Data Layer
- Business/Semantic Layer
- Build and optimize dimensional models using Kimball methodology.
- Ensure consistency, reusability, and performance of analytical datasets.
- Support development of enterprise data marts and data products.
- Establish data standards, naming conventions, and modeling best practices.
- Ensure data lineage, metadata, and data dictionary documentation are maintained.
- Collaborate with governance teams to ensure compliance with data policies.
- Support data quality and reconciliation activities.
- Work closely with business analysts and stakeholders to understand reporting requirements.
- Facilitate data modeling workshops and design reviews.
- Translate business requirements into scalable data solutions.
- Provide guidance to data engineers during implementation.
