Senior Consultant – Banking & Financial Services (Business Lending)
About the role
As a Senior Consultant – Banking & Financial Services, you will make an impact by leading business lending transformation initiatives, helping banks modernize end-to-end lending processes and adopt platform-based solutions.
You will be a valued member of the Banking & Financial Services Consulting team, working closely with client stakeholders across business, risk, credit, and technology functions, as well as internal delivery teams.
In this role, you will:
- Lead business analysis across the business lending lifecycle, including origination, credit assessment, underwriting, and approval workflows
- Facilitate workshops and stakeholder sessions to gather, challenge, and define business requirements
- Analyse and redesign current-state processes, defining target operating models leveraging modern lending platforms
- Translate requirements into functional specifications, user stories, and acceptance criteria for technology delivery teams
- Act as a trusted advisor to clients, bridging business needs and technology solutions while supporting transformation delivery
Work model

What you need to have to be considered
- Experience in consulting or business analysis within banking, with a focus on commercial or SME lending
- Strong understanding of the end-to-end business lending value chain (origination through to monitoring)
- Proven ability to produce high-quality analysis artefacts (process flows, requirements, user stories, fit-gap analysis)
- Experience working in client-facing delivery environments, with ownership of deliverables and stakeholder engagement
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders across business and technology teams
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or a related field
- Fluency in English (Dutch language skills are advantageous)
These will help you stand out
- Experience with nCino or similar loan origination platforms
- Exposure to lending transformation or core banking modernization programmes
- Familiarity with the Salesforce platform (data models, workflows, integrations)
- Understanding of credit risk frameworks and European banking regulations (e.g. Basel, CRR/CRD)
- Experience working with European banks, particularly in the Benelux region
