The Opportunity

Are you passionate about technology and providing exceptional end-user support? We are looking for an experienced End User Computing / Field Services Engineer to join our team in Switzerland. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting workplace technology, troubleshooting complex issues, managing hardware inventory, and ensuring a seamless end-user experience across the organization.

This is an exciting opportunity for a hands-on IT professional who enjoys working directly with users, solving technical challenges, and supporting modern workplace environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install, configure, and maintain hardware and software components to ensure optimal usability for end users.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues for Windows workstations and mobile devices.
  • Provide mobility support and device management services.
  • Utilize practitioner-level knowledge of SCCM 2012 and Microsoft 365 (O365).
  • Perform remote application installations and management using command-line tools and scripting methods.
  • Diagnose, repair, and replace faulty hardware, including laptops, desktops, and iPads.
  • Perform system upgrades and ensure compliance with client technology standards.
  • Install, configure, and maintain antivirus software and endpoint security solutions.
  • Conduct testing and evaluation of new hardware and software solutions.
  • Serve as the first point of contact for users regarding incidents, requests, and ticket management.
  • Manage daily ticket queues and support service level commitments.
  • Build effective relationships with end users, colleagues, and stakeholders across departments.
  • Manage hardware inventory, forecast future requirements, and coordinate equipment procurement.
  • Track vendor shipments and monitor delivery timelines.
  • Support basic networking activities, including:
    • Rack and stack network devices
    • Power readings and hardware checks
    • Network cable testing
    • Hardware reboots
    • Participation in maintenance windows and power shutdown activities

Required Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience in End User Computing and Field Services support environments.
  • Strong experience supporting Windows operating systems and desktop environments.
  • Practitioner-level knowledge of SCCM 2012.
  • Strong understanding of Microsoft 365 (O365).
  • Experience with hardware break-fix and desktop/laptop lifecycle management.
  • Familiarity with ITSM and ticketing tools.
  • Experience managing mobile devices and workplace technologies.
  • Knowledge of inventory and asset management processes.
  • Basic networking skills and troubleshooting capabilities.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.

Language Requirements

  • Fluency in German and English (reading, writing, and speaking) is mandatory.
