Job Summary
We are seeking a Technical Lead with 8 to 12 years of experience in VSAM JCL DB2 and Cobol to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in these technologies and preferably experience in the Cards and Payments domain. (On-site ONLY) RTO is mandatory for all 5 days work from office only (10 hours at office). The role offers the opportunity to work on cutting-edge projects during day shifts with no travel required.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design and development of complex applications using VSAM JCL DB2 and Cobol to meet business requirements.
- Oversee the integration of new technologies and ensure seamless functionality with existing systems.
- Provide technical expertise and guidance to team members to enhance project outcomes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with project goals and objectives.
- Analyze system requirements and develop detailed specifications to guide development efforts.
- Ensure code quality and adherence to best practices through regular code reviews and testing.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues to maintain system performance and reliability.
- Develop and maintain documentation for system processes and enhancements.
- Implement process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce operational costs.
- Monitor project progress and provide regular updates to stakeholders.
- Contribute to the strategic planning of technology initiatives to support business growth.
- Engage with clients to understand their needs and provide tailored solutions.
- Stay updated with industry trends and emerging technologies to drive innovation.
Qualifications
- Possess a strong understanding of VSAM JCL DB2 and Cobol with hands-on experience.
- Demonstrate expertise in application development and system integration.
- Have experience in the Cards and Payments domain which is a plus.
- Exhibit excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Show proficiency in technical documentation and process improvement.
- Display strong communication and collaboration skills.
