Service Line Sales for Software Platform Engineering (SPE)
Location: St. Louis, MO (local or willing to relocate)
Job summary
Focused on Digital Engineering, Enterprise Application Modernization, Application Development & Maintenance (ADM), and Quality Assurance Services. Acts as a bridge between client delivery and business development to identify and close opportunities within SPE.
Responsibilities
Lead the market positioning of Cognizant’s custom application offerings within SPE.
Collaborate with Client Partners and stakeholders to craft and implement growth strategies and transformation roadmaps.
Own lead generation, pipeline development, proposal creation, and solution architecting for new and expanded business.
Manage strategic pursuits end‑to‑end: account planning, RFP/RFI responses, and negotiations.
Interface with CXO, VP, Director-level executives to position Cognizant as a trusted advisor.
Drive outcomes via pipeline tracking—deliver QBRs, executive updates, reports.
Engage internal cross-functional delivery, presales, and service teams to build cohesive client solutions.
Qualifications
- Expertise in Digital Engineering, App Modernization, ADM, or Quality Assurance, with proficiency in at least one and familiarity with the others.
- Proven track record in generating pipelines, qualifying high-priority deals, and achieving revenue or total contract value targets.
- Strong sales acumen in digital/cloud solutions, including generative AI, agentic AI, AI-led SDLC, legacy modernization, and cloud platforms.
- Experience selling at senior executive levels (CXO, EVP) and managing full sales cycles—including RFPs and contract closures.
- Exceptional strategic thinking, leadership, and collaborative skills within a global, matrixed organization.
- Comfortable traveling and working onsite 2–3 days per week for client engagements
Preferred Additional Skills
- Experience in Consumer Marketspace including modernizing enterprise apps in that domain.
- Knowledge of generative AI, AI-driven SDLC, cloud-native application design, and large-scale modernization.
