AV Conferencing Engineer
Experience: 10+ years
Location: New York - NY (5 days work from Office)

Responsibilities
Design and configure AV systems including microphones, speakers, cameras, displays, and control systems
Ensure compatibility with IT infrastructure and networking standards
Prepare documentation for AV layouts, wiring diagrams, and system configurations
Install and commission AV hardware and software in conference rooms and collaboration spaces. - Configure codecs, video endpoints, and control hubs (Cisco Control Hub, Poly Lens)
Perform device resets and firmware updates as needed
Provide real-time technical support for video conferencing sessions and live events
Maintain hotline support for AV-related incidents and ServiceNow requests
Troubleshoot hardware / software conflicts, connectivity issues, and audio/video quality problems
Conduct routine health checks on AV systems, including testing microphones, cameras, and displays
Monitor system performance and apply patches/upgrades following change management processes
Support high-profile meetings and webinars by managing AV setups and providing dry runs
Operate in-house and portable AV systems during live events
Maintain AV inventory and update user guides and SOPs
Ensure compliance with organizational security and operational standards
Develop and maintain documentation for IT processes and procedures to facilitate knowledge sharing
Engage with stakeholders to understand their needs and provide tailored IT solutions
Monitor system performance and implement improvements to enhance efficiency and reliability
Stay updated with the latest technology trends to drive innovation and continuous improvement

The annual salary for this position is between $49,001 – $92,500 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and is subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
