SOLUTION ARCHITECT – AGENTIC AI


ROLE OVERVIEW
As a Solution Architect specializing in Agentic AI at Cognizant, you will lead the design and implementation of intelligent, autonomous systems that transform business processes across industries. You will architect solutions leveraging multi-agent systems, generative AI, and advanced automation to deliver measurable business value for our clients. This is a high-impact, client-facing role supporting pre-sales activities, for innovative technologists who thrive in dynamic, cross-functional environments. Ability to rapidly protype, coding and consulting background on one or more cloud environments


PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES
• Lead Solution Architecture: Drive the end-to-end architecture and delivery of agentic AI solutions, orchestrating multi-agent workflows that automate and optimize complex business processes (e.g., customer experience, supply chain, finance, HR)
• Client Engagement & Strategy: Partner with client stakeholders to identify high-impact AI opportunities & business case development, translate requirements into actionable architectures, and guide clients through their AI transformation journey
• Technical Leadership: Architect and implement agentic AI systems using LLMs, reinforcement learning, and decision-making algorithms. Integrate with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP, Databricks, Snowflake) and enterprise systems
• Thought Leadership & Enablement: Conduct client workshops, respond to RFPs, develop solution blueprints, and mentor teams on agentic AI best practices. Contribute to Cognizant’s AI community through assets, thought leadership, and continuous learning.
• Governance & Compliance: Ensure solutions adhere to AI governance, security, and ethical standards. Define KPIs for agent performance and business impact and establish frameworks for observability and lifecycle management.


TECHNICAL QUALIFICATIONS
• Agentic AI & Multi-Agent Systems: Deep understanding of agentic AI concepts, including agent orchestration, workflow automation, and multi-agent architectures (reflex, deliberative, hybrid).
• Generative AI & LLMs: Hands-on experience with generative models (e.g., GPT, Gemini, Claude), prompt engineering, and integrating LLMs into business workflows.
• Cloud & Data Platforms: Proficiency in deploying AI solutions on major cloud platforms and integrating with data platforms (Databricks, Snowflake, etc.)
• Programming & Frameworks: Strong skills in Python and modern AI/ML frameworks. Experience with workflow automation tools and APIs for system integration. Experience with agentic AI orchestration tools (LangChain, AutoGen, CrewAI).]
• Security & Compliance: Knowledge of AI governance, security, data privacy, and compliance frameworks. Ability to design secure, scalable, and compliant agentic AI solutions.
KEY COMPETENCIES
• Excellent consulting, communication, and facilitation skills for engaging both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Strong storytelling and visualization skills for business leaders.]
• Proven ability to lead architectural decisions, design roadmaps, and deliver complex AI solutions in cross-functional teams.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities, with a focus on innovation and continuous improvement. Comfortable in fast-paced environments requiring quick pivots and rapid delivery.
• Experience in developing and defending solution architectures with business leaders, enterprise architects, and technical leads.


DESIRED EXPERIENCE
• Bachelor’s degree and ideally Master’s/PhD with additional hands-on experience in architecting AI/ML solutions.
• Demonstrated success in delivering agentic or generative AI projects at scale.
• Experience in client-facing roles, RFP/SOW response, and leading technical teams. Background in consulting or advisory roles with proven ability to influence C-suite stakeholders. Track record of delivering PoCs and MVPs under tight timelines.]
