About the role

As an Engineering Director within Cognizant Digital Engineering Studio Lithuania, you will be responsible for the successful delivery of assigned client engagements and programmes, leading engineering teams to achieve agreed outcomes and high levels of client satisfaction. The grade for the role is Associate Director.

You will ensure delivery execution aligns with the established operating model, proactively manage risks, develop engineering leadership capabilities, and contribute to account growth through value‑driven delivery and collaboration with account and go‑to‑market teams. Your role is pivotal in translating strategy into execution and ensuring predictable, high‑quality outcomes across your scope of responsibility.

In this role, you will:

  • Lead delivery execution across assigned client engagements, ensuring commitments on scope, quality, timelines, and outcomes are consistently met

  • Ensure delivery commitments are met within agreed financial and budget constraints, maintaining healthy margins and cost efficiency

  • Provide leadership, guidance, and governance to team leads and senior technical leaders within your engagements

  • Ensure delivery execution aligns with the established and continuously evolving operating model
  • Ensure delivery and engagement documentation is complete, accurate, and maintained in line with organisational standards.
  • Proactively anticipate delivery risks and issues, taking timely action to mitigate and resolve them

Work model:

Based on this role’s business requirements, this is onsite position requiring working in Cognizant office in Vilnius. Regardless of your working arrangement, we are here to support a healthy work-life balance though our various wellbeing programs.

What you need to have to be considered

  • Strong overall IT experience with proven delivery leadership across complex and diversified client engagements
  • Solid experience leading delivery through engineering managers and senior technical leaders
  • Demonstrated ability to drive delivery execution within structured operating models
  • Strong risk management mindset with the ability to anticipate and address delivery challenges
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and collaboration skills
  • Assertive leadership style with the ability to influence and drive change constructively
  • Strong people leadership skills with a focus on coaching, development, and performance
  • Hands‑on experience with Agile / Scrum and modern delivery practices
  • Solid understanding of delivery management frameworks and tools, with the ability to apply structured and agile approaches appropriately.
  • Ability to balance client expectations, delivery commitments, and organizational priorities
  • Experience contributing to pre‑sales activities, estimations, or solution shaping
  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical or business discipline
  • Languages: Fluent English and Lithuanian

The salary range for this position is from 80,000 to 100,000 Euro gross before taxes, dependent on experience
