Business Consultant –Mortgage/ Lending Domain
About the role
As a Business Consultant – Functional, you will make an impact by driving platform-based transformation engagements in the banking domain, ensuring successful product implementations and stakeholder alignment. You will be a valued member of our ISG Practice and work collaboratively with product vendors, clients, and internal teams to deliver best-in-class solutions.
In this role, you will:
· Lead functional consulting for mortgage, retail, corporate, or private banking transformation projects.
· Conduct Process-Led Workshops (PLW) with clients and vendors to define requirements and solutions.
· Configure requirements within platforms and ensure fulfillment at a granular level.
· Drive Gap-Fit analysis and facilitate adopt vs. adapt discussions with business and IT stakeholders.
· Review and contribute to key deliverables such as BRDs, functional specifications, and interface design documents.
· Act as the interface between product vendors, customers, and stakeholders to close product gaps.
· Collaborate with integration, testing, design, and development teams; coordinate UAT with banks.
· Support compliance with audit findings and institutionalize knowledge management processes.
Work model
Onsite – This role requires presence at the client or Cognizant office in Amsterdam. We strive to provide flexibility wherever possible and support a healthy work-life balance through various wellbeing programs.
What you need to have to be considered
· 10–12+ years of experience in platform implementation within banking domains.
· Expertise in Dutch mortgage processes and platforms (e.g., Ohpen, Stater) is an advantage.
· Strong experience in PLW facilitation and requirement configuration within platforms.
· Ability to influence stakeholders on solution design and implementation strategies.
· Hands-on experience with integration concepts in SaaS environments.
· Knowledge of Dutch language is a strong advantage.
· Education: Engineering Graduate / MBA / Professional Degree / Postgraduate.
