About the role
As a Delivery Leader, QEA – Life Sciences, you will make an impact by driving end‑to‑end quality engineering, validation, and delivery excellence across complex, regulated programs. You will be a key member of the delivery leadership team and work collaboratively with engineering, platform, compliance, and business stakeholders to ensure high‑quality, compliant, and scalable solutions.
In this role, you will:
• Define and drive testing and quality engineering strategy across programs, including GxP, lean validation, risk‑based testing (CSA/RBT), automation, and quality metrics.
• Lead GxP validation and compliance activities, including change management, audit readiness, and regulatory documentation support.
• Embed quality engineering within SDLC and SAFe Agile, guiding scenario‑based discussions, test estimation, and release readiness.
• Manage and govern automation solutions (UI, API, data, regression) integrated with CI/CD pipelines and Agile/SAFe delivery frameworks.
• Provide leadership across key enterprise platforms such as Salesforce, SAP, Veeva Vault, LIMS, Patient Engagement systems, and Pharmacovigilance solutions.
• Define, track, and communicate Agile and quality metrics—including velocity, predictability, defect trends, and automation ROI—to senior stakeholders.
• Develop and deliver executive‑level presentations, manage multiple concurrent workstreams, and quickly adapt to shifting priorities.
Work model

Based on this role’s business requirements, this is a hybrid position requiring 3 days a week in a client or Cognizant office in Raritan, New Jersey. What you need to have to be considered
• Proven Life Sciences domain expertise.
• Strong experience in Quality Engineering and Automation Architecture within GxP‑regulated environments.
• Expertise in GxP, GAMP 5, 21 CFR Part 11, CSA, and lean validation approaches.
• Hands‑on experience with Agile and SAFe, including estimation methods and Agile metrics interpretation.
• Deep exposure to enterprise platforms such as Salesforce, SAP, Veeva Vault, LIMS, Patient Engagement platforms, and Pharmacovigilance systems.
• Strong background in test automation frameworks, DevOps integration, and SDLC governance.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to oversee multiple simultaneous initiatives.

• Experience leading multi‑tower transformation or modernization programs within Life Sciences.
• Thought leadership in quality engineering, automation strategy, or compliant digital delivery.
• Strong ability to influence executives and drive alignment across technical and business stakeholders.
• Demonstrated success improving delivery predictability, automation maturity, and audit readiness.
Salary and Other Compensation

The annual salary for this position is between $96,750 – $153,000 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
