About the role

As a Product Manager you will make an impact by shaping and delivering critical airline booking and ticketing capabilities for a leading Travel Management Company. You will work closely with client product leaders, business stakeholders, and Cognizant delivery teams to translate product vision into prioritized backlogs and high-quality outcomes.

You will be a valued member of the Cognizant Consulting team and collaborate across client and delivery squads in an Agile environment.

In this role, you will:

  • Partner with client Product Managers to understand product strategy, roadmap priorities, and business objectives
  • Translate airline reservations and ticketing requirements into clear epics, features, and user stories with well-defined acceptance criteria
  • Own and refine the product backlog to ensure alignment with priorities, dependencies, and delivery capacity
  • Collaborate with Agile delivery teams to support end-to-end delivery and resolve functional and domain-related questions
  • Act as the day-to-day liaison between client stakeholders and Cognizant delivery teams, supporting UAT, release readiness, and production cutover activities

Based on this role’s business requirements, this is a hybrid position requiring 3 days a week in a client or Cognizant office in Brisbane, Australia. What you must have to be considered

  • Extensive experience working with travel or airline reservations and ticketing platforms within a Travel Management Company (TMC) or airline
  • In depth experience working with Global Distribution Systems (GDS) such as Amedeus, Travelport or Sabre and Passenger Service Systems (PSS)
  • Strong understanding of the airline booking lifecycle, including fares, pricing, ticketing, exchanges, and refunds
  • Strong experience operating in a Product Manager or Product Owner–style role in close partnership with client product leaders
  • Proven experience working within Agile delivery environments
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills

These will help you succeed

  • Exposure to Travel Management Company platforms and operating models
  • Understanding of modern airline distribution, including NDC and API-based integrations
  • Experience supporting platform modernisation or legacy transformation initiatives
  • Familiarity with cloud-native or microservices-based architectures
  • Experience working with distributed, onshore and offshore delivery teams

Salary Range: >$100,000
