Job Summary
We are seeking a highly experienced Sr. Architect with 16 to 20 years of expertise in IBM z/TPFDF IBM TPF Assembler and MVS Assembler (HLASM). The role involves designing and implementing robust architectural solutions in a hybrid work model. The candidate will play a crucial role in enhancing system performance and reliability contributing significantly to our companys success.

IBM Legacy TPF/ALCS rare skills and exposure to zTPF
IBM TPF Tool Kit and/or TPF GI
TPF Test Tools
IBM BAL (Basic Assembler) SPM
Good understanding of z/TPF Concepts and Structures. z/TPF SPM z/TPFDF General Service Macros in Assembler and C/C++ APIs.
Legacy communication protocols e.g. EDIFACT TTY etc.
Confident in working in z/VM CMS environment tools
Concept of VPARS and IPL Loosely Coupled TPF Images etc. (good to have)
Understanding of Basic Linux File Systems and Tools
Understanding of hybrid cloud environments.
Job Description
Hands-on skills in developing code in Assembler z/TPF and z/TPFDF macros
Interested in exploring newer development areas in z/TPF C/C++ Linux etc.
Candidate should be aware of Middleware Communication Protocols and have a good understanding of core networking concepts.
Preferred experience in z/TPF with MATIP Host-to-Host communications Series and MQ. Overall Type A/Type B Communication over TCP/IP TCP FTP etc.
Good understanding of messaging protocols and architectures for z/TPF EDIFACT XML JSON TTY preferred different SOA and REST Architectures implemented on COMMS and other Middleware Services.
Work experience with Triaging Teams to understand problem areas recreate problem scenario and debug/identify root cause is preferred.
Experience in Software Test Driven Development ability to execute Unit Test Plans contribute to appropriate software (including programming languages) development life cycle methodology and application of specialized business and technical knowledge.
Adherence & Contribution to process improvements Prepare/Analyse/ Review system documentation.
Troubleshoot and solve complex software internal problems.
Very good English Comprehension Capability and working closely with TPF Architect SMEs at on-site and Offshore (over web meetings). Good Communication Skills proactive work ethics to play role as a single point of contact for Issues.
