AWS Senior Cloud Infrastructure Engineer (Azure)

About the role

As a AWS Senior Cloud Infrastructure Engineer, you will make an impact by designing, deploying, and securing scalable hybrid cloud environments that support mission‑critical enterprise solutions. You will be a valued member of a delivery team supporting initiatives and collaborate closely with DevOps engineers, security teams, and application stakeholders.

In this role, you will:

  • Design, deploy, and manage Azure and AWS infrastructure to support high availability and disaster recovery requirements.
  • Implement cloud security best practices, including identity management, network security, and regulatory compliance.
  • Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines to streamline infrastructure and application deployments.
  • Manage containerized workloads using Kubernetes (AKS/EKS) and Docker.
  • Monitor cloud environments, optimize performance, and improve cost efficiency through right‑sizing and automation.

Work model

Fully remote position open only to candidates residing in Chile.

Work schedule:
Monday to Friday, from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM (Chile time).

Key Skills

Cloud Platforms (AWS & Azure)
Strong hands-on experience designing, deploying, and managing infrastructure on AWS and Microsoft Azure, including compute, networking, storage, and architectures for high availability (HA) and disaster recovery (DR).

DevOps & Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
Proven experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Bitbucket, Jenkins, and Azure DevOps, along with infrastructure automation through Terraform, Ansible, and ARM Templates.

Containerization & Kubernetes
Solid experience working with Docker and orchestrating containerized applications using Kubernetes, including managed services such as AKS and EKS, to support scalable and resilient deployments.

Security, Compliance & Scripting
Strong background implementing cloud security best practices such as RBAC, Key Vault, and Network Security Groups (NSGs), ensuring compliance with HIPAA, GDPR, and PCI‑DSS, and advanced scripting using Python, PowerShell, or Bash.

What you need to have to be considered

  • 5–10 years of experience managing cloud infrastructure in enterprise or large‑scale environments.
  • Strong hands‑on experience with Microsoft Azure and working knowledge of AWS.
  • Experience deploying and securing compute, networking, and storage services in hybrid cloud environments.
  • Proficiency with infrastructure as code and automation tools such as Terraform, Ansible, and ARM templates.
  • Advanced scripting experience using PowerShell, Python, or Bash.
  • Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, Jenkins, or Bitbucket.
  • Working knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes (AKS/EKS).
  • Advanced proficiency in English and Spanish, both written and spoken.
  • Residency in Chile with availability to work full‑time on Chile time zone.

These will help you stand out

  • Experience implementing enterprise‑grade cloud security controls and governance.
  • Familiarity with regulated or highly secure environments.
  • Experience using Azure Monitor and Application Insights for observability.
  • Cloud or infrastructure certifications (Azure, AWS, MCSE, MCSA, NetApp).
  • Experience supporting large‑scale enterprise clients or complex delivery environments.
