About the role
As a Senior Java Full Stack Developer, you will make an impact by designing and delivering scalable, cloud‑based enterprise applications that support high‑demand business needs. You will be a valued member of Cognizant’s Digital Engineering team, collaborating closely with product managers, technical leaders, designers, and clients to deliver high‑quality, reliable software that creates measurable value for users.
In this role, you will:
- Design and implement enterprise‑grade applications and analytics solutions deployed on cloud platforms such as Azure or Google Cloud Platform
- Analyze business requirements and translate them into robust technical solutions, leading discussions with Technical Program Managers and Tech Leads
- Develop full‑stack applications using Java and Spring technologies, following industry best practices for coding, testing, and security
- Write unit tests and ensure applications meet or exceed defined code quality and coverage standards
- Ensure features are thoroughly tested and successfully deployed to production environments
- Implement monitoring and observability solutions in alignment with client and project standards
- Document application designs, services, and specifications, and provide guidance to development teams on functional and technical documentation

What you need to have to be considered
- 8–10+ years of experience in Java full‑stack application development
- Strong expertise in Java, Spring, Spring Boot, and Spring JPA
- Experience working with messaging systems such as Kafka or other message queues
- Hands‑on experience with cloud platforms (Azure preferred)
- Experience or strong understanding of large‑scale, high‑volume application design
- Strong problem‑solving skills and the ability to collaborate with cross‑functional teams
- Legal authorization to work in the United States without the need for current or future employer sponsorship
These will help you stand out
- Experience modernizing or supporting enterprise‑scale distributed systems
- Exposure to DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, or cloud‑native architectures
- Experience working in agile delivery environments
Compensation
The annual salary for this position ranges from $68,422 to $131,500, depending on experience and qualifications. This role is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, subject to performance and applicable plan terms.
