Position Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and driven Software Engineer to join our Aged Care and Hospitality team. The role involves collaborating with stakeholders and technical teams to design, build, and support scalable software solutions that meet business and operational needs, with a strong focus on quality, security, and continuous improvement.

Mandatory Skills:
•Hands-on experience with Microsoft enterprise platforms: Azure, Dynamics 365, Service Manager.
•Strong understanding of business process and workflow analysis for clinical and operational applications.
•Experience in impact, dependency, and risk assessment for incidents, change requests, and system enhancements.
•Knowledge of functional testing and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) processes.
•Familiarity with DevOps and collaboration tools: Jira, Confluence, Octopus Deploy.
•Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills across application, integration, and database layers.
•Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, translating business requirements into clear functional specifications.
•Experience in system monitoring, performance analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives.
•Strong experience in analysing business and system requirements, incidents, service requests, and change requests within ITIL / ITSM frameworks.
•Proficiency in SQL for data validation, workflow analysis, and system investigation.

Duties and Responsibilities:
•Analyse and define business and system requirements for aged care and hospital care applications to enhance and operational and clinical workflows.
•Engage with business stakeholders, product owners, and technical teams to understand open issues, enhancement requests, and system change requirements.
•Conduct end-to-end system analysis across UI, middleware, and database layers to identify root causes and functional gaps.
•Perform impact, dependency, and risk analysis for incidents, change requests, and system enhancements.
•Develop and execute SQL queries to analyse data, validate business rules, and support requirements validation and system investigations.
•Support functional and UAT testing, ensuring solutions meet approved business, functional, and regulatory requirements.
•Collaborate with development and infrastructure teams to ensure successful implementation, deployment readiness, and post-deployment stability.
•Maintain comprehensive documentation: functional specifications, process flows, impact assessments, and known issues.
•Monitor system performance, identify optimization opportunities, and recommend continuous improvement initiatives.
•Support API validation and system integration testing using tools like Postman.
•Maintain system security standards, ensuring compliance with industry best practices and policies.

Qualifications & Certifications (Optional):
•Master’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or related field.
•Microsoft platform certifications (Azure, Dynamics 365, Power BI) a plus.
•Additional certifications in SQL, Power BI, Databricks, Rstudio, database management, or software testing are advantageous.
•Experience in healthcare, aged care, or hospital care IT systems is desirable.
•Familiarity with DevOps practices, API testing (Postman), and enterprise application monitoring tools is preferred.

Salary Range: >$78,500 to $88,500
