About the role:
As a Technical Lead – Oracle PL/SQL, SSIS & SSRS, you will make an impact by designing, leading, and optimizing enterprise-grade data solutions that support critical business processes. You will be a valued member of a collaborative delivery team, working closely with application developers, data engineers, and business stakeholders to deliver reliable, high-performing database and reporting solutions.
In this role, you will:
Lead the design and development of scalable database solutions using Oracle PL/SQL and SQL, ensuring data integrity and alignment with business requirements
Own and guide data integration and transformation efforts using Microsoft SSIS and Azure Data Factory (ADF)
Perform performance tuning and query optimization to improve database efficiency, reliability, and response times
Partner with stakeholders to translate functional requirements into technical designs and database architectures
Provide technical leadership through code reviews, troubleshooting, and mentoring, ensuring high-quality deliverables and adherence to best practices
Work model:
We believe hybrid work is the way forward as we strive to provide flexibility wherever possible. Based on this role’s business requirements, this is a hybrid position requiring 2–3 days per week onsite in a client or Cognizant office in Milwaukee, WI.

What you need to have to be considered:
Extensive hands-on experience with Oracle PL/SQL and SQL, including complex database design and development
Strong expertise in Microsoft SSIS for data integration and transformation
Proven experience with performance tuning, query optimization, and troubleshooting enterprise databases
Solid understanding of job scheduling concepts and batch workflow orchestration
Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and communicate technical concepts clearly
Experience working in a technical leadership or lead engineer role within enterprise environments
These will help you stand out:
Experience with Azure Data Factory (ADF) and modern data integration platforms
Background in database governance, security, and compliance best practices
Strong documentation skills and experience defining standards and reusable frameworks
Relevant certifications such as:
Oracle PL/SQL Developer Certified Associate
Microsoft Certified: Data Analyst Associate

Salary and Other Compensation:
Applications will be accepted until May 17, 2026.
The annual salary for this position is between $ 110,000 - $ 135,000 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
