Role Overview
The Ad Policy Reviewer is responsible for the accurate and timely evaluation of digital advertisements against established platform policies and regulatory requirements. Operating in a 24×7 environment, this role requires sound judgment, strong language proficiency, and an understanding of regional compliance norms.
The successful candidate will support content integrity across assigned language markets and contribute to maintaining quality benchmarks within the team.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and adjudicate advertising content in accordance with platform-specific policies, including prohibited categories, restricted verticals, and regional regulatory standards.
- Apply language-market expertise to assess nuanced or culturally sensitive content in assigned languages.
- Accurately categorize and escalate non-compliant content following defined workflows and SLAs.
- Maintain consistent review quality across high-volume queues, including during weekend and overnight shifts.
- Document decisions clearly in internal case management systems, including policy citations when required.
- Participate in calibration sessions, team audits, and policy update briefings to ensure alignment with current guidelines.
- Identify recurring patterns or emerging violations and proactively flag them to policy or product teams.
Required Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in any discipline.
- Degrees in Linguistics, Communications, Law, Media Studies, or related fields are considered an advantage.
Experience
- 1–2 years of professional experience in content review, policy enforcement, trust & safety, legal compliance, or a closely related field.
- Prior exposure to advertising platforms, digital media ecosystems, or regulatory frameworks is preferred.
- Familiarity with content management or case-tracking tools is an advantage.
Language Proficiency Requirements
Language certification is required for non-native speakers. Accepted certifications include, but are not limited to:
- English: IELTS (Academic or General), TOEFL iBT, Cambridge B2 First / C1 Advanced, PTE Academic
- Portuguese: CELPE-Bras
- Spanish: DELE, SIELE (C1 or above)
Native speakers are not required to provide formal certification but may be asked to complete a language proficiency assessment during the selection process.
Working Conditions
- Work Model: Hybrid — combination of on-site presence (based on team schedules and operational needs) and approved remote working days.
- Schedule: 24×7 rotating shifts, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays. Specific shift rotations will be communicated during onboarding.
