Role Overview
The Ad Policy Reviewer – Team Lead is responsible for overseeing the accurate and timely evaluation of digital advertisements against established platform policies and regulatory requirements. Operating within a 24×7 environment, this role combines hands-on subject matter expertise with people leadership, ensuring consistent quality, policy adherence, and operational excellence across assigned language markets.
The successful candidate will lead a team of reviewers, support content integrity initiatives, drive quality benchmarks, and act as a key point of contact between frontline operations, quality, and policy stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Operational & Policy Oversight
- Oversee the review and adjudication of advertising content in line with platform-specific policies, including prohibited categories, restricted verticals, and regional regulatory standards.
- Act as a subject matter expert (SME) for complex, sensitive, or escalated cases within assigned language markets.
- Ensure accurate categorization and escalation of non-compliant content in accordance with defined workflows and SLAs.
- Monitor queue health, productivity, and quality metrics across shifts, including weekends and overnight coverage.
People Leadership
- Lead, coach, and support a team of Ad Policy Reviewers to ensure consistent performance and policy understanding.
- Conduct regular quality reviews, 1:1s, coaching sessions, and performance feedback discussions.
- Support onboarding, training, and ramp-up of new team members.
- Foster a positive team culture focused on quality, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Quality & Stakeholder Collaboration
- Drive quality calibration sessions, team audits, and policy update briefings to ensure alignment with current guidelines.
- Identify trends, recurring errors, or emerging policy risks and proactively flag them to policy, quality, or product teams.
- Document and communicate insights, risks, and improvement opportunities clearly to internal stakeholders.
- Support process improvements and contribute to operational best practices.
Required Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in any discipline.
- Degrees in Linguistics, Communications, Law, Media Studies, or related fields are an advantage.
Experience
- 3–5 years of experience in content review, policy enforcement, trust & safety, legal compliance, or a related field.
- Prior team leadership or senior/lead reviewer experience is strongly preferred.
- Experience working with advertising platforms, digital media ecosystems, or regulatory frameworks.
- Strong familiarity with case management systems, quality frameworks, and performance metrics.
Language Proficiency Requirements
Language certification is required for non-native speakers. Accepted certifications include, but are not limited to:
- English: IELTS (Academic or General), TOEFL iBT, Cambridge B2 First / C1 Advanced, PTE Academic
- Portuguese: CELPE-Bras
- Spanish: DELE, SIELE (C1 or above)
Native speakers are not required to hold formal certification but may be asked to complete a language proficiency assessment during the selection process.
