About the role
We are seeking an experienced L3 Support Engineer to join our team, specializing in Python-based applications and MongoDB databases. This role focuses on advanced technical support, complex issue resolution, and close collaboration with development and operations teams to ensure system reliability and performance.
In this role you will
- Serve as the escalation point for complex technical issues related to Python applications and MongoDB databases
- Diagnose, analyze, and resolve production incidents while ensuring minimal downtime and data integrity
- Develop and maintain scripts and tools for monitoring, automation, and reporting
- Document troubleshooting steps, resolutions, and best practices for knowledge sharing
- Participate in on-call rotations and provide timely responses to critical incidents
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders through status updates and post-incident reports
- Collaborate with development teams to identify root causes and implement long-term solutions
Work Model
5 days onsite per week at Goldman Sachs offices:

What you need to have to be considered
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
- 3+ years of experience in L3 support or a similar advanced support role
- Strong proficiency in Python, including scripting and experience with FastAPI
- In-depth experience working with MongoDB
- Experience with monitoring tools, log analysis, and incident management
- Familiarity with ETL processes and data streaming concepts
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively
These will help you stand out
- Experience with cloud platforms, preferably AWS
- Knowledge of key management and encryption best practices
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices

Salary and Other Compensation
The annual salary for this position is between $83,600 – $129,500, depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
