Model N Subject Matter Expert (SME)

Job Details:

  • Serve as a Model N Subject Matter Expert (SME) by participating in business requirements discussions, analyzing issues, providing recommendations, and driving end-to-end solutions.
  • Strong understanding of Model N Commercial Chargebacks and Managed Care Rebates; experience with the Model N Powered by N platform is preferred.
  • Hands-on experience with Model N implementations and upgrades.
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve business operational issues within Model N.
  • Experience working with the Model N data model, including Oracle PL/SQL debugging and query development.
  • Review and validate functional and technical documentation, test strategies, and test scenarios.
  • Define and oversee end-to-end testing strategies, including SIT, UAT, regression, and performance testing.
  • Develop functional test scenarios and validate business flows across Contracts & Pricing, Chargebacks, Rebates, and Payments.
  • Manage defect triage and resolution, review test scripts and traceability matrices, and coordinate with business teams to ensure test data availability.
  • Coordinate with Test Analysts to support test execution, defect logging, and preparation of test summary reports for audit readiness.
  • Support SIT and UAT planning and execution, validate defect remediation, and manage retesting cycles.
  • Execute test cases and log defects using ALM or equivalent test management tools.
  • Support SIT and UAT cycles by participating in defect triage and retesting, while maintaining test evidence and screenshots for audit and compliance documentation.

Salary and Other Compensation:

The annual salary for this position is between $ 80,000 - $ 145,000 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
