About the role
As a Senior Frontend Architect, you will make an impact by designing and delivering scalable, high‑performance frontend architectures that support enterprise applications. You will be a valued member of the technology delivery team and work collaboratively with product owners, engineers, QA, and business stakeholders to deliver secure and modern solutions.

In this role, you will:
- Design and implement scalable frontend architectures using Vue.js, JavaScript, and GraphQL
- Provide technical leadership and architectural guidance to development teams
- Translate business and functional requirements into well-structured technical solutions
- Conduct code reviews and enforce architectural standards and best practices
- Optimize application performance by identifying and resolving bottlenecks
- Collaborate with QA and DevOps teams to ensure quality, stability, and successful deployments
Work model

Based on this role’s business requirements, this is a hybrid position requiring 3 days per week in a Cognizant or client office in Boston, MA. What you need to have to be considered:
- 12+ years of experience in frontend or web application development
- Strong hands-on expertise in Vue.js and JavaScript
- Experience designing and integrating APIs using GraphQL
- Proven ability to architect scalable and maintainable enterprise applications
- Solid understanding of the software development lifecycle and Agile methodologies
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
These will help you stand out:
- Experience in the Property and Casualty Insurance domain
- Prior experience mentoring developers or leading technical teams
- Knowledge of frontend security best practices
- Familiar with Apollo Server
- Relevant certifications such as Certified JavaScript Developer or equivalent Vue.js or GraphQL certification
Salary and Other Compensation

The annual salary for this position is between $100,000 and $139,000, depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
