The Senior Associate – IT Asset Management will be part of Cognizant’s Cloud, Infrastructure & Security (CIS) organisation, responsible for managing and optimising IT assets across hardware, software, and cloud environments. The role focuses on asset lifecycle governance, compliance, and cost optimisation while supporting CIS transformation initiatives.

This position will also contribute to ITAM solutioning and continuous improvement, supporting enhancements to ServiceNow‑based asset processes, reporting, and controls in a large, globally distributed enterprise environment.


Responsibilities

· Manage end‑to‑end IT asset lifecycle activities for hardware, software, and cloud assets, ensuring accuracy and compliance.

· Maintain and reconcile asset data across CMDB, inventory, and financial records.

· Support software license management, audits, and optimisation initiatives.

· Execute and improve IT Asset Management processes, standards, and controls aligned with CIS requirements.

· Develop and enhance ServiceNow ITAM dashboards and reports to support visibility and decision‑making.

· Partner with Infrastructure, Cloud, Security, Finance, and Procurement teams on asset tracking, audits, and forecasting.

· Identify opportunities for asset rationalisation, reuse, and cost optimisation.

· Contribute to ITAM solutioning by supporting process enhancements, automation, and standardisation initiatives.


Required Qualifications

· 8–10 years of experience in IT Asset Management, IT Inventory Management, or related IT operations roles.

· Strong hands‑on experience with ITAM / ITSM tools, preferably ServiceNow.

· Solid understanding of IT asset lifecycles, software licensing concepts, and compliance controls.

· Experience working in large, complex enterprise or global IT environments.

· Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.

Preferred Qualifications

· Experience supporting Cloud, Infrastructure, or Security organisations.

· Exposure to ITIL or IT Asset Management best practices.

· Experience contributing to process improvement or solutioning initiatives within IT Asset Management.


Salary and Other Compensation:
The annual salary for this position is between $90,000 to $100,000 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
