Sr. Snowflake Developer

About the role
As a Sr. Snowflake Developer, you will make an impact by designing, developing, and optimizing data solutions using Snowflake and Python technologies. You will be a valued member of the data engineering team and work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless data integration and processing.
In this role, you will:
• Develop and implement scalable data solutions using Snowflake and Python to meet business requirements.
• Design and maintain Snowflake tasks, streams, and pipelines to ensure efficient data processing and integration.
• Optimize Snowflake SQL queries for performance and reliability in large-scale data environments.
• Implement and manage Snowpipe for real-time data ingestion and processing workflows.
• Conduct code reviews and collaborate with stakeholders to identify opportunities for improving data solutions and workflows.
Work model

What you need to have to be considered
• Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in data engineering or software development (maximum 12 years).
• Strong expertise in Snowflake SQL, Snowflake Streams, Snowflake Tasks, and Snowpipe for data processing and integration.
• Proficiency in Python programming for data manipulation, automation, and workflow optimization.
• Solid understanding of data architecture principles and best practices for scalable solutions.
• Familiarity with data security and governance standards to ensure compliance.

• Strong communication skills to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Salary and Other Compensation

The annual salary for this position is between $80,000 – $109,000 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
